Atour Hotel Dandong Railway Station Yalu River Broken Bridge

My entire family agreed that this Atour hotel was the best place we stayed at during our trip to Northeast China. The room was spacious and clean, and both the large TV and the king-sized bed were excellent. The hotel is conveniently located right by the Yalu River, within walking distance of the Broken Bridge, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. We also appreciated the book bar in the hotel lobby; its impressive selection of books, coupled with comfortable seating and suitable lighting, made it a perfect spot for reading. The breakfast hours were generous, and the variety of options was generally satisfying. The only drawback was the surprisingly long wait for room cleaning. Upon arrival around 3 PM for check-in, we still had to wait half an hour to get our room key. The next day, after returning from our activities around 4 PM, our room still hadn't been cleaned. Even after calling housekeeping, it took nearly another hour for them to attend to it. It's unclear where the management breakdown occurred.

The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. The hotel is in a great location. Our river-view room offered views of the bridge and the North Korean hotel across the river. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the Yalu River Broken Bridge scenic area, and the Korean War Museum, Andong Old Street, and the Dandong Ship are all just a short taxi ride away. There's a public square right in front of the hotel where, in the evenings, many people gather for square dancing and playing with spinning tops. I initially thought it might be noisy, but everyone dispersed by around 9 PM, so it didn't disturb our rest at all. The only minor downside was that it's newly renovated; we could distinctly smell the wood finishing by the headboard. Sleeping with our heads at the other end of the bed made it a bit better.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a five-minute stroll to Duanqiao Bridge. As a brand new Atour property, all facilities are new and modern. The service is exceptional, and the breakfast offers high quality. The lobby is spacious, and all public areas feel bright and welcoming. The fitness center and self-service laundry room are also great amenities. They even provide complimentary late-night snacks, including congee. The only minor downside is that, being in such a prime location where space is at a premium, parking can be quite challenging. However, the front desk staff are incredibly helpful and will surely assist you in securing a parking spot.

This Atour Hotel in Dandong is excellent. First, the location: The hotel is situated right by the Yalu River, and it's only about a ten-minute walk to the Broken Bridge. Strolling along the river after dinner was incredibly pleasant. It's also very close to the train station, approximately 2 kilometers away. The hotel even offers a convenient shuttle service to/from the station. Next, let's talk about the facilities: The hotel is equipped with a laundry room and a gym. During the hot summer, you can exercise indoors without worrying about getting tanned. The laundry room allows for both washing and drying, with a full cycle taking just about an hour. This makes it very convenient whether you're on a business trip or traveling with family. Regarding service: The hotel calls in advance before check-in to inquire about your arrival time and any special requests, arranging things beforehand to save time during the check-in process. Finally, the breakfast: It was quite varied and plentiful, offering not only local specialties but also many pastries that children would love. The stir-fried dishes were also very tasty. Oh, and the hotel rooms are spotlessly clean. I especially loved their bedding; it was incredibly comfortable to sleep on. I inquired and found out they sell them, so I'm definitely considering buying one when I have the chance!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 7-8 minute walk from Duan Bridge. Our room was clean, spacious, and the facilities felt very new and well-maintained. We stayed for two nights. All the hotel staff were incredibly polite. I was checking in with my elderly mother, and upon learning it was her birthday, the duty manager not only extended warm birthday wishes but also generously offered us complimentary breakfast for both days of our stay. As a loyal Atour guest, this experience truly highlighted their exceptional, thoughtful hospitality. A big thank you to all the hotel staff. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!
