Hotels in Wanda plaza/Anton Old Street/Moon Island, Dandong

This hotel exceeded expectations! The service is considerate and thoughtful, from check-in to check-out, the entire process is meticulous, and the staff proactively asks about needs and responds quickly. The room is clean and bright, with advanced and complete facilities, practical dry and wet separation design in the bathroom, and soft and comfortable bedding. The hotel also provides flexible services such as free late check-out and customized breakfast, which truly takes guests into consideration. Both the quality of details and the overall experience are impeccable, great value for money, and highly recommended to relatives and friends!

There are three of us girls living here and we feel very happy. After getting the room card, we found there was no ashtray in the room. So we went downstairs. At that time, Joey helped us change to a smoking room and we are very close to each other. We are very grateful for her help. We really like Dandong. There are delicious seafood and fruits here. We also enjoyed the local barbecue ^_^

The facilities are newly opened, the environment is good, the pillows are comfortable, and the room was not cleaned when I arrived at 7pm. The front desk upgraded the room for free! It takes only a few minutes to get to Andong Old Street! The location is good and the breakfast is also good. Important reminder for self-driving friends to drive down the Wanda basement to the M area to find a parking spot and go directly to the elevator front desk! There are plenty of underground parking spaces! It is recommended to visit Dandong

The location is great and the price was reasonable for a 5 star hotel. However, there were some things that seemed lacking of a 5 star hotel. The CONS - Rooms come with heavy smoke smell and ashtray even if asking for non smoking, and it was open smoking in the lobby and even elevators. I would have loved a bathtub instead of only a shower. The breakfast was very good for the price (48 rmb) but didn't include juices and their attempt at adding bacon was horrific as it was a fake street sausage type of bacon that's bright red and inedible. There was brand-name water bottles and then there was the hotel water bottles in the room and there was a menu charging 2 rmb to heat up water. I am not sure how they would know or if this is to charge for the people who steal the tea and coffee. But I would expect to boil water for free. Also the gym closed at 19:00 and it seemed a bit early. The PROS - The beds were comfortable. The staff did their best to accommodate and even allowed picking up luggage later. The coffee shop inside had great coffee if you dont mind the smoke. The breakfast was a great value for 48 rmb. The location was great and convenient. The hotel was able to check us in to the room early with availability. The hot spring SPA was amazing as well since there was no pool but you need to be careful not to let them give you extra services (which are sub par) and just enjoy the hot water and sauna for free when you buy something.

The room was large and clean, the front desk staff was very welcoming, the ground floor environment was average, the biggest drawback was the parking fee in front of the building, and it was very expensive, 5 yuan an hour, and 40 yuan for more than 10 hours, which is exorbitant for a small sixth-tier city. Of course, the hotel didn't charge for parking. There's a big morning market behind the building, which is quite comprehensive and cheap.

It was my first time to visit Dandong. I chose the Fred Hotel among many hotels. The main reason was that it was convenient to park. It was close to the river. From the hotel, I could see North Korea from afar. At night, I could take a walk along the Moon Island by the river. In addition, parking was difficult during holidays. If I took a taxi to Andong Old Street, Wanda Plaza, and the Broken Bridge of the Yalu River, it would basically cost no more than 9 yuan, which was very convenient. The most important thing was that the surrounding environment was quiet and would not disturb my rest at night. Of course, I also want to thank the hotel for upgrading the river view room for free. In short, this experience was very good. I look forward to traveling to Dandong next time. I will choose the Fred Hotel again.

I came to Dandong two years ago and stayed at the Garden Hotel. The most important thing about it was It's the location. Andong Old Street, Yalu River, and the Memorial Hall to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea are all within walking distance. This time I had a completely new experience staying here. The hotel must have been renovated. The front desk actually remembered me. I received very warm reception and service in an instant. I felt very warm, the buffet breakfast was delicious and hygienic, the food was good, the stay was fun, and it was a pleasant trip🌹

It is really not easy to find a new hotel in Dandong. The hotel is very close to Moon Island and close to the river. If the weather is good, you can see North Korea on the other side and the Broken Bridge in the distance. It only takes three stops to get to the Broken Bridge from Moon Island East or 27 Dam. , the hotel has rich breakfast and the room is clean. The disadvantage is that the glass is not soundproof. In addition, there was no air conditioning in the corridor on the day I checked in, and there was a peculiar smell. Other than that, it was fine.

I wiped the place by the bed, which no one seemed to have noticed, with my hand, and there wasn't a single speck of dust... I was surprised. Since they've been here for a long time, the facilities are generally old, but the prices are reasonable and the location is good. (I think they're the building owners.) I bought some Daedonggang beer, but it was so hard to open it, so when I heard a rustling sound at 2 AM, I went out and saw the owner in his pajamas. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅎㅎ I'm so shameless, but I borrowed a beer bottle opener. Thank you ☺️ I also asked the owner's wife if I could leave my luggage after I checked out, and she readily accepted, so I'm really grateful! Even considering the slightly old facilities, this is a place I'd like to visit again. Especially the kindness of the owner and his wife!
