Hotels in Yading Village, Daocheng

When I first booked, I wasn't aware of the scenic area's rule requiring visitors to enter by shuttle bus before 4:30 PM on the day of arrival. Fortunately, the hotel was very accommodating and allowed me to postpone my booking by a day. For dinner, I had the tender stewed chicken and Mapo Tofu. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat much due to severe altitude sickness. However, as a self-proclaimed foodie, I'd rate the chicken soup 90 out of 100 – the chicken itself was a good choice, though the knife work could be refined. The Mapo Tofu, while not made with traditional Sichuan tofu and thus having a slightly less authentic texture, was still perfectly acceptable. My altitude sickness worsened that night. Even with the diffused oxygen system in the room, I remained sleepless throughout. This was a profound irony for someone like me, who has cycled across China and entered Tibet via the G219 highway multiple times. The male owner spoke good foreign languages, and the female owner was gracefully elegant. Highly recommended.

This hotel is located within the scenic area, which was precisely why I chose it. My initial plan was to simply relax there, given the high altitude might make extensive walking difficult, and just enjoy gazing at the snow-capped mountains. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel's location is superb, offering fantastic views of two of Yading's snow-capped peaks. The decor, ambiance, and the rooms themselves were unexpectedly wonderful. I particularly loved the subtle, pleasant fragrance in the room – a huge plus for me, as I'm very particular about cleanliness and sensitive to any unpleasant odors. The weather upon my arrival was exceptionally good; I even witnessed beautiful, colorful clouds. The next day, I slept in and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. The hotel boasts a terrace overlooking the snow-capped mountains, where I spent the morning sipping tea. What truly stood out was the exceptional attentiveness of the staff; a lovely staff member even surprised me with a small, beautiful bouquet of flowers! As I frequently travel in Western Sichuan, I generally don't have high expectations for high-altitude cuisine, but the food at this hotel was surprisingly delicious. Overall, my Yading trip was a fantastic experience.

This hotel is an absolute hidden gem I found on Ctrip! The convenient shuttle service made our journey so much easier and more relaxing. Every room boasts incredible, breathtaking views of Xiannairi Snow Mountain – the scenery is so stunning that every casual photo turns out like a professional shot. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the authentic home-style dishes, which were incredibly comforting. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided meticulous service. The highland barley field in the small courtyard adds a wonderful touch of local charm. The lobby facilities are excellent, and the fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The self-service laundry room is clean and well-maintained. It was an absolute delight to stay here!

First of all, make sure that the hotel's service staff are generally very good, including a special car transfer from Shangri-La Town to the end of the hotel will be sent back to the town, the reception is also very warm, including a dinner there, all our luggage to the room, etc. Many of these services are very good. However, I did not expect Songzan's bath water to be warm, has been adjusted to the maximum stall or warm cool, the shower height design is unreasonable, very short, can not adjust the height, this does not consider the height design? At 3900 altitude, the warm bath water, what should I do if I catch a cold (the requirement that the simple bath water should be hot does not seem to be too much, there is no shampoo, it is not good to simply flush the body), because it is too late to communicate with the front desk, and the cockroach can dry quickly. The next day, after giving feedback to the front desk, they expressed surprise and said that they would investigate, and then there was no more. In fact, I want a feedback, so there is no sound... I have lived in Songzan other projects before. This time, because I came to Daocheng Aden, I still did not hesitate to choose Aden Mountain Residence. Such a problem actually occurred. I hope there will be improvements later! After all, I still like the style of Songzan.

We booked late because we weren't sure we were going to make it to the ticket gate in time since you have to buy a Yading ticket and ride the bus into this village. But we made it and it was a great choice. The staff were really friendly and helped us with all our requests. There is oxygen available for the rooms but we asked not to turn it on because we wanted to acclimatise to the altitude naturally. You can also have a great meal at the restaurant with some pretty generous portions. Would highly recommend!

This hotel in the scenic area is reasonably priced and very close to Station 3, only about 10 meters away. You can enter the hotel right after getting off the bus. I told the owner that it was very convenient to load and unload luggage. You can take the bus without getting off, which saves a lot of time. The room was clean, equipped with an oxygen concentrator, a humidifier, and good shower water. There is also a restaurant on the basement floor that provides breakfast and has an outdoor terrace. The restaurant prices are not high, and the boiled meat and stir-fried meat are delicious. It is completely overrated and better than hotels outside the scenic area at the same price! The cat thief at the front desk is very nice.

It is very good that we can not queue up in the scenic area to take the bus. The hotel's business car will pick up the car directly to the hotel lobby. The development of wild luxury routes one and two, respectively, correspond to the needs of different customer groups, such as hiking in the mountains and forests, connecting the thousand-year-old trees on the mountain, when looking up at the ancient trees, you will feel that you have a kind of sheltered by the ancient trees, and then gradually calm in your heart, have strength, and feel for yourself. The second line is a mountain path all the way. Although the mountain road is not easy to walk and tired, I have seen many wonderful and exotic grasses. Finally, I arrived at the poetic natural picture of the stream in the mountains... What a novel and healing experience ✨ There is also no need to worry about high reaction. There is intelligent dispersion oxygen supply in the hotel room, and the itching saturation is high throughout the day, and there is no uncomfortable feeling at all. The popularization is over. I really like the feeling of being embraced by nature.

I followed the advice in the comments section and proactively added the hotel's WeChat. It turned out to be an excellent decision and truly saved me a lot of hassle. With the hotel's guidance, my car was parked for free at a hotel near the scenic area entrance. Then, a staff member warmly drove me right to the entrance and even assisted with ticket purchases. I took the shuttle bus to Yading Village, Stop 2. Upon arrival, someone was there to pick me up right away, just a few dozen meters away. A quick side note: the shuttle bus driver was a bit too aggressive, taking over a hundred sharp turns, which left me feeling quite motion sick. Check-in was quick, and I was able to settle into my room for a much-needed rest. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the panoramic view of the vast highland barley fields outside the window was absolutely breathtaking. Before I headed out, a staff member enthusiastically shared useful travel tips and a local guide. It rained lightly in the scenic area, and when I returned in the evening, a steaming cup of ginger tea was immediately brought to my room. It was such a warm and thoughtful gesture. Staying at this hotel was undoubtedly the most satisfying choice of my entire Western Sichuan trip.

Located in Yading Village, but not on the roadside, very quiet. The location of the hotel is good, relatively high. The first picture is the view from the room window, the second picture is the first floor platform, the third picture is the view from the first floor restaurant, and the fourth picture is the meadow next to the hotel. The facilities are good, with floor heating, very warm, and good hot water, comfortable bathing. It is opened by a fellow Sichuanese, and the service is good. Satisfied. I will stay here again when I come to Yading in the future.
