The Ship in Dock Inn

Gorgeous little guest house!/pub. Incredibly friendly and helpful owner who has gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Absolutely gorgeous room overlooking the lovely estuary only a few hundred metres from the buzz of the main areas of shops, bars and restaurants. Huge en suite with shower and bath. Spotlessly clean with real attention to detail, huge comfy bed, awesome, very effective Dyson fan in the room. Really impressed and will 100% stay here again when we return to Dartmouth (which is also gorgeous).

I thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast, I had the top room (no4) which looks over the green towards the river, with pretty flowers in the window box. Adequate sized room, very clean and comfy; the breakfast was excellent, lovely fresh fruit, loads of proper yoghurt and nicely cooked veggie. Friendly welcome and accommodating when I had to check out late because of a problem charging up the car. Much better value than paying double or more in the posher hotels in town. The pub was shut for Sunday evening when I was there, looked a nice place to have a drink when it's open.

A really nice place to stay. Staff couldn’t done enough for us. Very happy to do some off menu items for breakfast including kippers and haddock, delightfully done. Rooms clean and lots of nice touches. Building very original and authentic which adds to the charm. We’ll be back.

We stayed for one night in Dartmouth. The room was very clean and the breakfast was fabulous. The team made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. We parked in the centre of Dartmouth within easy walking distance to the pub.

Very friendly welcome, lovely room and great breakfast. The Ship in Dock is a great place to base yourself for visits in and around Dartmouth. The team were great and made sure we had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night but would certainly stay again.

We stayed 2 days, with Storm Darragh hitting on our second night! We received a most friendly welcome when we arrived. The room was warm, comfortable, clean and cosy as was the rest of this wonderful small hotel. The staff were friendly and engaging. The breakfast was amazing. We were also impressed by the way nothing had been forgotten or neglected in the bedroom - a hair drier, a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge for the tea and coffee, and a well stocked mini-bar (not free of course). There was also an iron and board on the landing. It was also tremendous value for money. This was a wonderful find and we hope to return. Incidentally, we needlessly worried about parking as out of season there are no restrictions to parking in the street - it’s free!
