The room had large, floor-to-ceiling windows with a beautiful night view. It would be even better in spring or summer when the grass outside is green. Xiao Yu at the front desk checked me in; she was warm, thoughtful, and had a lovely smile. The only downside was the limited selection of hot dishes at breakfast, which I felt might not compare to other five-star hotels. Also, the lettuce at the cold station was in very large pieces (the one in my picture was the smallest I could find) and should really be torn into smaller, more manageable pieces.

I’ve stayed in many places, but this is one of the best experiences I’ve had in China so far. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. Throughout my stay, the entire team—from the front desk and the manager to the housekeeping staff and the handyman—was incredibly helpful. They even extended my check-out to 3:00 PM to align with my train schedule. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Datong!

Everything is good! Very clean room and comfy beds! The housekeeping does an awesome job daily! They even provided us with a fan when the room became too stuffy.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bedding was comfortable. The TV only offered regular channels, unlike other high-end hotels that have HBO or free movies. It would be better if the breakfast area was larger. I couldn't find any information about the hotel's facilities in the room, and the elevator didn't display the amenities on floors 3-5, causing me to almost miss a great restaurant on the third floor (which I only discovered through a search).
