Hotel Review: Apo View Hotel
I recently stayed at Apo View Hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant due to several cleanliness and service issues.
On the second night of my stay, I discovered what appeared to be cockroach or termite eggs inside the electric kettle while boiling water. I immediately called reception—twice—to request a replacement, but after waiting without any update, I had to go down personally to follow up. In total, it took approx 45 minutes before the kettle was replaced, by which time my guest had already left. This alone was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
Although the Duty Manager assured me that the hotel conducts stringent pest control, things only got worse. On the third night, I discovered and killed a small cockroach inside the room. Initially, the hotel offered to perform pest control, but given that it was already evening—and knowing that such procedures could cause more insects to emerge—we refused. The alternative offered was to transfer us to another room. By this point, the situation had become so uncomfortable that we ended up buying our own disposable cups, spoons, and forks just to feel safe using basic items during the remainder of our stay.
Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay at Apo View Hotel. The repeated pest-related issues and delayed response from staff greatly affected our comfort zones and confidence in the hotel’s standards. Sadly, this experience fell well below expectations, and we hope improvements are made to prevent similar incidents for future guests.
