Without question this is *the* place to stay in Mingshi. Tucked away from the busy road that runs through the middle of the village, it is a quiet, pleasant resort stay that could easily charge more per night. It has its own private scenic area and outdoor Zhuang museum. The breakfast spread was incredible. I can hardly recommend it enough.

The location was very convenient. The room was comfortable with good heating. The venue provided free access to the Mingshi Village Scenic Area and daily performances/evening bonfire. The entire venue was lit up during night.

Everything was nice and clean and the breakfast actually had some more “international” food compared to other local hotels. We didn’t understand why you cannot enter the pool area, which is apparently from “another hotel” according to the staff. Not clear since the pictures show the pool in this hotel when you book. But overall we had a very nice stay and the area/nature around the hotel is stunning.

Paid for the upgrade and it was much better, quite room with small garden outside. Very cozY and amazing decoration. Very comfortable bed and room very well decorated! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ROOM

Very disappointed hotel ! Only for mass/ bus tourists …. If you come with family and friends … go away ! Location is great but very not “service “ . Room are dark and not renovated . Price is not cheap and nit worth . Breakfast is empty !

I stayed 2 nights at the Mingshi Mountain Village. The amenities were very nice, as well as the service. The location was very convenient for visiting the Detian Waterfall (about 45 minutes away by car) and also for enjoying the Mingshi Scenic area. I rented a bike from the hotel one day (free with your hotel stay) and had a great time exploring the surrounding bike paths - highly recommend! The hotel staff were also great in helping me arrange a car to take me to the Nanning Airport.
I also liked that I could go inside the Scenic Area for free with my room card - it was great for evening walks and for the shows held there at night. I didn’t try the pool (but you need to pay extra for it anyways).
The breakfast is nice - it’s what you’d usually find for a Chinese international hotel. There was coffee & milk as well!
Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay here again.

Beautiful location and friendly, helpful staff. Was great to hire bikes but second time we tried a tour group had booked out the lot, a few more would be good. The swimming pool is beautiful but you have to pay extra for it, otherwise I would have given 5/5 for amenities. The area is stunning, would recommend to friends.

This is a quite big hotel but still some charm located in the beautiful countryside of Daxin. Detain and other attractions are an 1h drive away. The room are good, the breakfast has some dishes for foreigners like toasts butter fruits but limited. The reception were helpful to organize our visits but an amazing surprise is that you can’t get access to the pool unless you book the elegant room which are not available on ctrip. Otherwise they charge you 128rmb/entry/person which is a shame. Only for this I would not recommend to go.

The hotel is located in the scenic area. With your room card, you can enter and exit Mingshi Tianyuan Zhuang Folk Residence Museum unlimited times through the exclusive entrance. The natural scenery in the scenic area is very beautiful, and the photos taken with mobile phones are like ink paintings, and there are scheduled Zhuang singing and dancing performances. In addition to the buffet breakfast provided in the hotel, you can also order meals at noon and evening, so you can have three meals a day without leaving the scenic spot. The hotel also provides free bicycles for you to enjoy freely along the cycling greenway.
The front desk reception and cleaning services are good, and vehicles can be parked in the hotel courtyard. The room is not big and the lighting is a bit dim. The bathroom sink is relatively cramped and cannot be used to place toiletries. It may be because it is next to the water system and it is relatively humid. There are many mosquitoes, so you need to protect yourself.
