The hotel, service are nice. All the staffs are kind and we are moved. The building is old but clean and British-like, and we feel calm during my stay.
We would like to come back again soon, and will recommend my friends to stay here.

The service was excellent, and the staff were kind. They provided hot soup and hot towels upon check-in, and hot water bottles at night. The garden was beautiful, filled with different plants.

The scenery of the hotel is absolutely perfect! When I ordered it, I didn’t expect it to be so beautiful when I saw the picture! The room size is average but the view is worth it! The butler also took us to visit the vegetable garden at the back. The ingredients in the hotel are all grown in this vegetable garden.

If you are staying in Nuwara Eilya this is the hotel to stay at! We are a British couple in our early 40s who like a bit of history, sightseeing but somewhere we can come back to that’s comfy, nice and good quality and it was perfect. The decor and style is old English but with a modern twist, it’s a well looked after, clean and tidy hotel. Customer service especially in the bar was excellent and very good English speaking compared with other parts of Sri Lanka. Cocktails menu in the hotel is brilliant - I recommend trying the James Taylor. Breakfast and dinner were good, I think our only comment would that the layout and order of food was a little odd at times but you get used to it. This hotel has a snooker table over 100 years old you can play on in a room with original features such as flooring. You can easily get to all the main sites town centre, Grand Hotel and Victoria park walking if you are fit but if like us not, then Tuktuks are available or taxis. We really enjoyed staying here, it played a significant part to us enjoying our stay in Nuwara Eilya.

Wow!! This Hotel is amazing,the Manager Dilip Kumar and the staff go above and beyond the what is normal service. The food is the best we have had in the past 10 days. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and the rooms are immaculately clean. This stay has made our trip stunning and we shall definitely be coming back. This is a must stay if you are in the area
