Degeaux Folk Inn

This trip through Sichuan and Tibet, I entered Kangding and started to feel altitude sickness. I had originally planned to rest in Derge. But I couldn't bear it anymore, so I checked into a guesthouse early yesterday morning. I thought that the guesthouses in ******* areas were all dirty and messy, but after checking in, I found that they were no less than those in Sanya. They had all the facilities that a budget hotel should have. Not only were they clean and hygienic, but the bedding was all new. More importantly, there was a small ******* courtyard. The owner of the courtyard had planted many flowers, including Han Chinese camellia. The most important thing was that the owner's mother saw that I was suffering from severe altitude sickness, so she enthusiastically brought me local yak yogurt, local anti-altitude food, and a few cans of oxygen. Although we couldn't communicate by voice, her simplicity and heartfelt smile touched me. I really want to stay for a few days. It feels like home. It must be my blessing to meet her in Tibet. I highly recommend this guesthouse.

The B&B feels great. It is run by local Tibetans. The whole stay was very pleasant. My parents treated us warmly. The boss's sister was especially cute. The layout of the room is also the ******* style that I like very much. It is very simple and fresh. All kinds of facilities are available, and the hygiene is meticulous. It is next to National Highway 317. The younger brother also took us to visit the surrounding areas, and we were able to experience some cultural history. I recommend everyone to stay here!

I booked this hotel directly (non-refundable) based on the high reviews. However, the experience after my stay was the worst in my 10-day stay in western Sichuan. Here are my honest reviews: 1. Don't eat at the B&B. Not only is the price high, but the rice is not well cooked. Of the 4 dishes, 3 were not tasty. The potatoes were not fresh at all and were cooked for the guests. 2. The pillows they provided were extremely dirty and the bed was very hard. Because we were not comfortable, two people in our room woke up early the next morning and left early. It took about 40 minutes to drive to Dejingyuan, which is quite far. 3. We slept on the second floor, and the corridor was closed. The room window was on the corridor, and there was a strong smell. We opened the door and window, but it wouldn't go away, and 2 flies flew in. 4. The bathroom is made of glass, which is a very strange design. The door is very close to the toilet, and there is no way to stretch your legs. You can only use the toilet with the door open, and then you have to draw the curtains, otherwise you can see the corridor. 5. The water is turbid. None of us in the group took a shower and had a difficult night. 6. The B&B is on a slope, which is very difficult to drive.

The ******* family was very welcoming. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were served homemade tea and pastries. We ordered stir-fried yak beef with mushrooms; the beef was very tender, and the vegetables were grown on site. We had the pleasure of meeting two artistic young women, including one of their members, Luckydog, who was very cute. We drove to Tibet. The temperature difference between morning and evening is significant, so be sure to wrap up warm.

This is an inn run by Tibetans. It’s clean, and the family is kind and simple. The ******* food they cook is quite delicious. We happened to be here during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and they also gave us homemade highland barley cakes for dinner in the evening, which was very delicious. ! The disadvantage is that it is not open here in winter because it is too cold, which is a pity! There is an observation deck above the inn, where you can also take photos of night views. My brother washed our car when he arrived and accompanied us up there with a headlight to take photos at night. This is a great place to escape the heat in the summer.

The B&B is decorated in ******* style. Han friends can come and experience it. The traditional ******* family life customs and treasure family are highly recommended to everyone. The uncle helped wash the car, and the aunt, sister and brother also helped us coax the children. It truly reflects The ******* compatriots are so hospitable and the whole family is really kind and cute!
