The Hosteller Dehradun

As a solo female traveler, I stayed here three nights before going to Rishikesh for a yoga course. While Dehradun isn’t much of a sightseeing destination, I felt safe staying at The Hosteller. The staff were super helpful and the hostel vibe was jovial, consisting of local travelers keen to chat and play guitar/sing on the rooftop in the evening.

I had a really nice stay at The Hosteller Dehradun. The place has a warm, backpacker-friendly vibe, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. What I loved most was how genuinely helpful and welcoming the staff were—they made everything feel easy, whether it was checking in or asking for local recommendations. The food there was also a pleasant surprise. It tasted fresh, felt homemade, and was perfect when I didn’t feel like going out. The café space is cozy too, great for relaxing or chatting with other travellers. Overall, it was a simple, comfortable, and friendly experience. I’d happily stay here again!

The stay was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I had a great time here socialising and the many places of seeing were nearby.
