I have stayed at Sarovar portico a few times, I have noticed one thing about there that the food there is really amazing, even if I stay at any other hotel, I always come to Sarovar hotel for eating,food was very very good thank you so much.........

I, I stayed at Sarovar Portico in Dehradun and I have stayed at Sarovar Portico many times before also. Every thing there seems like my home to me. I like the food there very much and the staff there is very nice. I want to thank the food there and the staff there.

This place was my second choice… Good part: On main road, good food joints nearby, nicely made. Bad parts: Window is useless. It opens on wall right away. You need to request room slippers You need to request for basin napin It takes time for hot water to come. TV won’t start then need to call room service. Reception staff ok ok. Not very welcoming. Worst: There is no mattress cover on the mattress. Straight way they have put the bed sheet. So all night you will be feeling the rough lines of the mattress and not feel good about it. House keeping tells us that we don’t have mattress cover. I would choose a different place next time. See image. Expensive place for this price and service.

Reception lady was rude and not professional. We didn’t get our rooms on time and once given, there was a huge AC damage in the passage and the complete carpets on the floor were drained out with the leakage. When asked to change the room, they were reluctant.

1. Resturant staff behaviour is humble
2. Housekeeping staff behaviour is good
Cons
1. The room is old, carpet is dirty, bed mattress is uncomfortable and blanket covers are very old, so the white colour has become full.
2. Only 500 ml water bottles provided, leading to multiple times asking for water
3. Sofa inside room was unclean
4. Window opens up to a building 2 feet away with rubbish dumped on terrace
5. Entire ground floor entrance left and right side occupied with banks
6. Extremely minimalist
7. Not worth the money paid

Only thing good was their location. Carpet was dirty and bathroom shower nob was damaged! Tv remote did not work and breakfast spread was just ok.

Not so good experience !! The stay was very bad .Quality of food was not so good . And the price of the food are very high according to the quality of food and property too
