The hotel should have a bit of history, the surrounding environment is good, the suburbs are very quiet, the equipment is a bit old; there are more types of breakfast

Not Happy
The facility was clean. The elevator was not working. That was a problem for my husband with MS. We were on the 3rd floor, no other rooms were available. There were not enough towels and they told us we had to come get them from the front desk(with no elevator). When I get to the front desk the attendant said that they didn't have any face towels and i needed to ask the housekeeper who was making her rounds to get some from her cart. Remember again, no elevator,I had to search floor to floor to find a housekeeper. A few light bulbs were out on our room and the exhaust fan was on the fritz. Maintenance never came. Not happy..

My stay
I arrived and the elevator was broke and I was in the third floor. Then when I get to my room the refrigerator still had food in it. Also the comforter had blood on it. Housekeeping was not quick to do anything.

Nice hotel!
The room was spacious and very clean. Check in was quick, check out was quicker. Breakfast was excellent and had various hot entrees each morning, and the dining room was kept very clean. The pool was great and also very clean. This hotel is close to everything in Sycamore and I would very much recommend and stay again.

AC was great! Nice and cold room. Limited power outlets. Checkout time stated 12 (noon) but doors were locked early by 11:30 am.

Poor quality furnishings
First, they put us in the wrong room and we had to move, the room they put us in, the chair that was at the table was in terrible condition. The fabric was worn so bad, and the foam padding was coming out of the sides. The table was so unsteady I was afraid it was going to collapse. There was no maid service on the week-end so if you needed fresh towels, you needed to get them from the front desk. The people were very friendly, and breakfast was ok.

We did not go to hotel because we canceled within minutes of getting confirmation. It booked wrong date. We proceeded to cancel. I called hotel they said it was up to *******. ******* said was to be refunded by hotel. We are still waiting on response from you about refund. Please advise

Unfortunately, this was our worst stay at Country Inn and Suites in Sycamore. We have stayed here many times in the past. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke; the chair in the room had worn off leather down to the cushion. The linen was not clean, as there was hair stuck in the washcloths. The upkeep on the property is just not there.
