Dengfeng Zhongzhou Intermega Shaolin Hotel

This is one of the best hotels in the area. It's very close to the Grand Music Ceremony, Shaolin Temple, Songshan Scenic Area, and the city center – all just a ten-minute drive away. The room was quiet, and I could see Mount Songshan. The service was also good. I didn't take any hotel photos, so I'll just use three pictures from the Songshan Scenic Area to fill in. A couple of final thoughts: staying here was great, but exploring the area is quite a workout for your legs!

The hotel is quite large, split into two buildings, and about a 10-minute drive from Shaolin Temple. The decor has a very nice, Zen-like style. It offers excellent value for money and the service attitude is great. My elderly parents were very satisfied!

I visit Mount Song every year, and this has been the most satisfying stay so far. It offers great value for money, the room is very spacious, and breakfast is also good. I didn't get to try the gym. Overall, it's quite excellent, and the location is also great.

Traveling with my kids, it started snowing, so we couldn't go to the Grand Canyon. We went to see the Red Flag Canal instead, and the kids had a blast. The accommodation was very quiet. I really liked this guesthouse.

This hotel truly lives up to its 5-star rating. It's a large complex with numerous rooms spread across different buildings, so you'll definitely appreciate the tour guide they provide, and there's even an outdoor elevator for convenience. The rooms are spacious and spotless, featuring traditional Japanese tatami mats, which lend a serene Shaolin Zen atmosphere – perfect for both local and international guests to relax in. The underground parking is a huge plus, with plenty of spaces, which was a real lifesaver during the holiday season when parking near Shaolin Temple on Mount Song is incredibly hard to find. The restaurant is massive, easily accommodating a thousand diners, and the breakfast spread is diverse and incredibly generous, with high-quality food and excellent cooking. My only minor quibble is the hotel's slightly remote location, but if peace and quiet are what you're after, this hotel is absolutely ideal.

During the Chinese New Year travel season, there were an incredible number of tourists from Henan. For the price, this hotel's environment was really good. The hotel is laid out like a small community with four buildings, all not far from the lobby. Eating options aren't super convenient, but Dengfeng isn't that big anyway. Overall, it's a great place.

I stayed at this hotel when I visited Shaolin Temple. It's like an estate, probably a 4-star standard, and everything was pretty good. I left my prayer beads in the room when I checked out, and the lobby manager, Li Na, kindly reminded me and helped mail them back to me. Highly recommend!
