We wanted to book a classic cottage for 5 nights. When we called, the manager told us that there was only one premium cottage available for our dates. Well... Ok, we really liked the location so why not. We arrive at the end of the day, the night begins to fall. First, very poorly indicated access (panel baked by the sun, completely unreadable). Then, driveway and dirt parking lot in poor condition and full of puddles (handy for getting your luggage down, isn't it). Then, an unlit path to the reception. We find the manager there, rather nice at first sight, who guides us to our cottage (still in the dark). Arrived at the cottage, the water in the jacuzzi was downright yellow, the wooden deckchairs completely dilapidated, wooden steps ready to break. You enter: no air conditioning (although we were certified that there was one when booking), no window but wooden shutters almost all broken, very dark cottage... Being indicated on the internet that t is possible to eat on site in the evening, we ask for the menu. Apparently they didn't want to cook, the only thing we were offered was a beef tartare (being pregnant, so not terrible...), we decided to eat out. On the way back, we ask for the WiFi code, which apparently only works at the reception since when we arrived at the cottage we had no signal... Then we were terrified by the gloomy atmosphere of the cottage. It was 9 p.m., we were tired from the trip, we were going to spend the night and leave the next day. Discovery of the bathroom: a filthy sink, a shower that does not close because a door leaf is missing, shower hose in a deplorable state, yellowed bathtub that does not at all make you want... We spent a complicated night, with heat and humidity for which the poor little fan couldn't do much, apart from making a horrible noise... The next morning, at daylight, we discover the state of the mosquito net: very dirty, full of holes. And the cottage in general: full of cobwebs. Around 8 am, no one at the reception... We leave for lunch outside. We then come back to get our things and settle the night: the manager offers us breakfast (and given the state of dirt and dilapidation of the kitchen, we did well to take it elsewhere!). He is much less sympathetic than the day before when we explain to him that we are leaving, he then asks us for 400€ for the night, and is reluctant to pay by card (odd knowing that he had the imprint...). The pompom: we realize that we were in fact the only customers, contrary to what we were told when booking... In short, we negotiate there night at 200€, knowing that it is not worth it not even 80... The basic concept is nice but the big lack of maintenance and the negligence of the
