My partner and I stayed at Frederick Stearns House for 5 nights in late June and we highly, highly recommend it! We were actually reserved for 3 nights only, but we both were so comfortable and slept so well that we extended our stay. The house is a fabulous, beautifully restored mansion - it's big enough to be a hotel but since it's a B and B, there is a wonderful feeling of being "at home" that develops as you walk the halls, find the wall switches, make yourself a cup of tea, etc. I became quite attached to "my house" and can't wait to return. The inn was fully booked a few of the nights we were there, but you would never know - the interior walls are thick and extra sound-proofing was added during renovation (there is some street noise at times, like in any city). We did not eat breakfast so cannot comment on that, but every evening when we came home we had a little night cap in the basement speakeasy - utterly delightful. I could go on and on, but honestly: book for yourself and stay here! It's a very unusual, special place. Incredibly clean, wonderful hosts, great location, best sleep I have ever had away from home. The Frederick Stearns House is a gem!!
