We have followed the building of this Net Zero hotel on the Exeter Science Park, Exeter, Devon, from the very beginning and were more than excited to be invited in for a tour recently. We had arranged to be met by Beth Ardron the Director of Sales and Marketing, which we did after sampling a bar lunch and drink. The host from the bar was Beaty who greeted us with a smile and warm friendly welcome. The bar food we had was delicious and plentiful. We instantly felt at home and even more so when joined by Beth. We were given all the data of this three week old hotel before having a personal tour around including viewing a ground floor bedroom. This project from start to finish is nothing short of outstanding in what the teams have achieved. We are very proud to live nearby and very much look forward to enjoying a meal in the restaurant. This must surely be the leading light in all future hotel projects.

The hotel branded itself for being eco friendly which is a good concept. However, it seems to be a front for lowering its costs. Two in One shower gel/shampoo doesn’t seem to have much to do with eco friendly, no lotion provided either. The room was tiny, no upgrades for platinum members as well. The duvet was extremely thick thus making it very warm to sleep as the room was not equipped with air conditioning. Parking is rather costly too for £15, especially when the hotel is located in a business park. The restaurant was nice but pricey. Staff seems to be very unfamiliar with the service.

We are local to the hotel (within walking distance). We walked up out of curiosity really and ended up having a little bite to eat too. The concept is fabulous. Great vibe, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Beattie and her team made us feel very welcome as locals. We look forward to using the lovely south facing terrace more as the sunny weather improves. It feels up market, with a really relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! Our room was spacious and comfortable (the towels and bedding were amazing!) and had everything we needed. Hats off to the staff who were all very welcoming and helpful. Great atmosphere in the contemporary hotel lounge bar at all times of the day. A great location for exploring the area, for both corporate and leisure. What a great product. You've thought of everything and we will definitely come back in future!

The hotel is newly opened, and as you would expect it is immaculate inside. It has an open plan feel to it and the open spaces provide somewhere to socialise and grab a drink. The restaurant is well planned and we enjoyed excellent food The bedrooms are a good proportion and the showers were very well. We decided to hop on a bus rather than drive into Exeter to meet friends, which was very easy and cheap. It’s a great location just off the motorway so easy to drive there and locate while having good transport links into Exeter itself.

Really loved the concept of this hotel. Upon understanding the ethos and being bought into it, the fact that the drinks stations were communal was no bother at all. Rooms were very spacious, bright & airy, comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows were great, we slept like logs. Staff were exceptional, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner and breakfast was lovely too….we’ll definitely be returning, well done team

What an amazing hotel. Comfortable, modern, clean and very in touch with environmental responsibility. All the staff were so friendly and eager to help. The food was top notch and with plenty of choice to suit all. Location was very easy, and we would definately use this hotel again if in the area.

The hotel is very comfortable. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. The focus on sustainability means that everything is designed with minimising environmental impact. This gives the hotel some significant advantages over other hotels with similar target markets. The breakfast comprises local produce and the bar offers local beers. Not only does this improve sustainability, it also provides the guest with a different and better experience. On my visit the staff were outstanding. They were friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy to help.

The bed in my kitchenette room was so big, I decided to wear my GPS watch, so that I couldn’t get lost in it! Seriously though, the food was fantastic, the team so friendly, and understandably oozing with pride and passion to work at such a beautiful and new hotel. They certainly made my stay such a memorable one for the right reasons. The icing on my cake was their Sheffield cutlery, just perfect for this son of Steel City to feel at home, during his week away.
