My recent stay at Jasmine Hills Lodge in Doi Saket, Thailand, was an experience I won't soon forget, but for all the wrong reasons. The lodge feels like you're living in someone's backyard, complete with all the unwanted pests and none of the comforts you'd expect from a vacation spot. Upon arrival, we were immediately put off by the dated facilities. The floor is bare cement, and the sheets were stained and uninviting. To make matters worse, the bidets and faucets didn't work, adding to our discomfort. The lack of ecological pest control was evident, with centipedes, lizards in the refrigerator, beetles crawling out of drains, and an ant infestation in the toilet. It was like stepping into a horror movie. Speaking of horror, our check-in experience was straight out of Hitchcock's "The Birds." Instead of birds, we were swarmed by thousands of moths around all the lights and doors. We screamed for two hours straight, unable to believe what we were witnessing. One would think I was there scouting horror film locations. While I appreciate the gardens and ponds, the lack of ecological pest control severely detracts from their beauty. Adding to the discomfort, the air conditioning was limited to just the bedroom, leaving the rest of the unit hot and stuffy. With so many critters indoors, I couldn't trust unpacking my belongings, fearing they would become infested or damaged. The final straw was the overwhelming number of critters in the lodge. Horrified, we only managed to stay for one night before booking elsewhere for the remainder of our stay in the area. In summary, Jasmine Hills Lodge might be suitable if you need a place to live and can tolerate these conditions. However, if you're looking for a vacation spot, this is not the lodge for you. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had while traveling, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable trip.

Worst check in experience. Had my kids screaming for 2 hours because of all the bugs inside the room and outside the room. They had never seen so many bugs. Pictures are misleading the property. NO AC in the living room. Everything was misleading about this hotel. We left the next day and the manager refused to refund us the remainder of our stay (booked 6 rooms, 2 nights and only stayed 1 night due to bug infestation).

I stayed alone as a solo traveller at Jasmine Hills Lodge for 4 months, from December 2023 to April 2024, and it was exactly what I was looking for/needed. Peaceful, beautiful, and the air is filled the smell of plumeria flowers (frangipanis) of many colors and varieties. I stayed in one of the townhomes and it was perfect. I fed the fish outside of my front door every morning and fell asleep to the sounds of Thailand's many creatures at night. I often slept with the doors open (with screens closed) to allow the cool breeze in, but in mid March and April it got a little too warm at night for that. As much as I enjoyed Jasmine Hills' nature and surroundings, it was the people that really made the stay as amazing as it was. Dolly, Paul and their employees Ding, Fa, and Na all treated me with so much kindness and consideration that it was hard for me to leave. Jasmine Hills is a wonderful place to stay whether it is just for one night, or for 6 months, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Dolly, Paul, Ding, Fa, and Na. I hope to return some day.. Best wishes to all of you. Tim

A small touch of paradise, so serene and peaceful. The kindness and consideration by Paul and Dolly, nothing was too much trouble. They thought of things before we knew we needed them. The gardens are magnificent. Sounds of frogs and crickets in the rice fields at night. We went for 2 nights, stayed 4. Beds are really comfortable. Our rooms spa overlooked rice field. Front balcony looks out on Wat on the hill. Woke to misty mountain views. Toured area on resorts pushbikes, enjoying local coffee and restaurant stops. Local market, 7/11, Tesco Lotus and banks for currency exchange nearby. Return trip with John to our old City accommodation added to our local knowledge and even helped me find a mattress topper for our city hotels hard bed. Made my holiday coming here, nice break from the city.
