Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive

It was an overall okay experience. The water is fabulous, crystal clear and warm. However, the sand beach is limited and therefore crowded and loud. There are other parts in the property that are less crowded but no sand in the water, it’s all rocks. Also, dining in the main room, la terrazza, is so messy, no tables ready, no napkins, no cutlery, glasses, just chaos. Luckily enough we found the other buffet, la Roca, which has limited options but quiet. We discovered we could only book 3 restaurants for a 6 nights stay only when there and my husband got sick from something he ate during an excursion booked with the resort (1 more person got sick as well from the same trip). People are expecting tips even when not necessary. Staff is just on their own time and feels like you are not a priority, many times they had an attitude that wasn’t welcome!

The air-conditioning did not work in our room. Took us several times speaking w the front desk and multiple trips of walking back and forth to the reception area. Which indeed took away from our vacation for sure. The rooms were not very clean. Roach in our room. The dinning restaurants are limited and the food offered isn't very tasty. My family and I have been visiting this place for about 4 years and this time was very disappointing, I do not think we will be returning which is sad to us because this location was literally a piece of paradise when we first started visiting here years ago. Also the entertainment during the day/evening is not entertaining at all. Shout out to Randy in maintenance he was the only person to care enough to fix our air-conditioning situation. Thank you Randy!

This was our 4th time in viva Windham, first 3 times was in viva palace, was excellent. This time, January 2025 was in viva Beach. Ocean front bungalow. Overall we enjoyed as always, the resort was under stuff, dining was challenge, dining tables not cleaned after guests left, we removed the left over plates and clean the table ourselves before we can seat, because there was no clean tables. We still enjoy our stay, we love the long walk on the property, the beach was always clean, a lot of seats, love the bars, and caffee by the pool, the juice bars, also we felt safe to walk outside the property for local shopping. We recommend to all our friends, will be back again.
