Proper 5* hotel. Every aspect of comfort for the guests is being thought of! From the minute of driving in to the car park to the check out we were warmly welcomed and served in friendly and helpful way. All staff speak perfect English, polite and helpful. Room/ suit was spotless, very modern and comfortable . The bed extremely good. The pools , especially the outdoor one were magnificent. Very warm , and easy access. The indoor, was too cold water. The only real comment I have, that there are not fresh towels on the pools level. I am disabled and could not get down the stairs to bring them. As well, there was no one to ask for it. The restaurants were are nice. Breakfast is great! We tried the Italian, the bistro and the Ösch Noir ( 2* Michelins ). The food was excellent and the service outstanding in all of them. Would love to come again, and will warmly recommend to stay there. It is only short drive ,1.5 hour from Zurich airport, and lots to see in the back forest.

From start to finish this property excels at low standards and failure to meet expectations. Check in process was abysmal. No one at the front to great you or assist with luggage. Front desk staff do not provide any information about the property or welcome you. I did notice some having a welcome drink and someone sitting an explaining things, but I guess not all guest warrant this attention. The decor is minimalist and the entire property smells like a man’s cologne. Colors are neutral to drab but on the positive they do have real flowers. Rooms are small for the price point and do not really stand out as far as amenities. The spa and pool area are abysmal. No order of discipline. Kids own the place and there is not an area for adults only. There is no place to really relax and get away from the noise of kids in a pool. Ahh yes.. the pools are ice cold, even the jacuzzi. Who wants to swim in warm water right? Dining…. Limited options. Food was okay, not five star. When we finished my wife mentioned that her dish was supposed to have mango but it didn’t. The waitress didn’t know. Anyhow it wasn’t a huge deal. We left, got a drink, and retired for the evening. I did not appreciate the passive aggressive delivery of sliced mango (unordered) to my room at 930 pm from the restaurant when the do not disturb sign was emplaced. Also I do not appreciate being disturbed at breakfast 1 minute after sitting down by some Euro-trash manager. At checkout I asked for my car to be brought out. Nope… can’t do it so I got it myself . Don’t bother with this property… it’s overpriced and of no value.

Not really a 5 star place of honest. Check in was rushed and not very professional. I saw others sitting and having a relaxing welcome drink. Quite a difference. The shuttle to the nearby town is nice and the staff are friendly and competent. Room decor is nice and the hotel is well appointed. Pool and Spa. Sub par. All the water features are ice cold. Even the jacuzzi… cold. No adults only area…. So enjoy the screaming kids. Dinner was okay, but the food is not as advertised. One dish was supposed to have mango in it., but it didn’t. We pointed this out just to let them know the food wasn’t as advertised. No sooner than we entered our room, they sent a plate of mango to my room without us asking for it. This is passive aggressive behavior. Sad they feel they need to stoop to this low brow behavior. I refused it. It a nice place, but not worth the price point. The service is okay, but I would have rather driven another 2 hours to Schloss Elmau and enjoyed a true 5* experience.

Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with our last experience at this hotel. Due to an unfortunate booking error, we accidentally reserved the wrong date (February 7–9, 2025 instead of March 7–9, 2025). When we realized the error, we asked the hotel for a concession and were willing to pay for one night. Unfortunately, we were simply told that these were the applicable terms and conditions and that they would try to resell the room – which seemed unconvincing… Even though the rooms remained unused and no services (Wi-Fi, spa, meals, etc.) were used, we were charged 90% of the stay. As returning guests, we would have expected a little more consideration. Instead, we were treated strictly according to guidelines, with no understanding of the misunderstanding. This experience was very disappointing for us, and we would have preferred a more customer-friendly solution. We will not recommend this hotel under these circumstances.

Das Hotel ist eine wunderschöne Anlage! Die zwei Golfplätze ein Traum, top gepflegt. Mega freundliches Personal sowie vielfältiges Angebot im Proshop. Wir nehmen immer eines der schönen, neuen Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick auf den Golfplatz. Eigentlich ist alles fünf Sterne wert aber einen Stern Abzug gibt es für den Außenbereich am Pool. In der Woche, in welcher wir dort waren, war es sehr heiß, 35° und mehr. Nach dem Golfspiel sind wir immer gegen 15:00 Uhr an den Pool gekommen. Alle Liegen im Schatten belegt bis auf wenige in der prallen Sonne ohne Sonnenschirm. Alle Gäste haben sich wie die Ölsardinen mit ihren Liegen ganz eng unterhalb des Dachvorsprungs gelegt um im Schatten liegen zu können. Ich finde, das geht für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse (750€/Nacht überhaupt nicht. Die Handtücher für die Liegen muss man sich vorher unten im Untergeschoss/Spa holen!! Große Treppe!! Sehr umständlich! Wir kommen gerne wieder, aber hoffen, dass dieses Problem nächstes Jahr nicht mehr besteht.

Schönes Zimmer, tolle und grosszügige Wellnessanlage, sehr gut ausgestattetes Gym, sensationelles Essen, fantastische Massage. Wir wurden in sämtlichen Bereichen äusserst freundlichen empfangen und behandelt. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt und die 2 Tage sehr genossen.

Was für ein Juwel auf dem Lande, umgeben von wohltuend hübscher Landschaft. Sucht man Ruhe und Entspannung, einen einzigartigen Wellnessbereich, kulinarische Höhenflüge der verschiedensten Art und eine besondere Gastgebermentalität durch unzählige freundlichste Mitarbeiter, dann ist man im Öschberghof an der richtigen Stelle. Das gesamte Hotel mit seinem Angebot ausreichend zu würdigen, würde den Umfang dieser Bewertung komplett sprengen. Nur Einiges kann erwähnend gestreift werden. Souveräner Empfang bereits vor der Türe, gemütliche Zimmer mit allen Annehmlichkeiten die man sich wünscht aber so auch zum Teil noch nirgends hatte und ganz wichtig, mit supertollen Betten, großer schwimmtauglicher Innenpool und eine Saunalandschaft zum Verlaufen groß, zudem ein Außenpool und unzählige Liegemöglichkeiten, ein hervorragendes Frühstück mit lokalen Produkten, eine Tagesbar mit wundervollem Kuchenangebot und so Vieles mehr! Man sollte sich selbst überzeugen. Besonders schön war es, einen alten Bekannten aus der Schwarzwaldstube hier wiederzutreffen. Was ein kluger Schachzug für den Öschberghof einen so begnadeten Gastgeber wie Herrn Breuer für sich zu gewinnen. Uns hat es mehr als gut gefallen und wir werden gerne wieder kommen.
