Guest UserThe location is fantastic, offering a quiet escape right in the heart of the action. It's right next to Dream Valley, and our floor-to-ceiling window offered a view of the pirate ship ride – super cool! The guesthouse's courtyard design is like a charming little garden.
The room itself is a delightful blend of retro Chinese and modern stylish design. The bathroom features a smart toilet that automatically lifts the lid when you approach and flushes and washes automatically when you leave. The seat temperature is adjustable too. We also loved that we could choose to watch TV or cast content to the screen simultaneously.
The auntie's Aomen noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious – a true local specialty! Even my picky eater finished a big bowl, which says a lot! 😂

MarymlchanThe location is good. The hotel interior desires really nice or decorate by antique furniture and the lighting is very nice. You can take a lot of photo in the ground floor and corridor.
The room is the same as what I see in the website decoration is nice and clean. We went in May and the weather is hot and the hotel air condition is this is good enough. We got upgraded to bigger room and the washroom is very big.
The receptionist and or the hotel butler ( I forgot adked her name) is very friendly and helpful. I would like to said thank you to her.
The hotel provided free breakfast. It tastes good. We lived 2 nights and they very early in the morning that we cannot catch up the breakfast time. The hotel butler prepared takeout for us so that we can have it in airport. The breakfast included congee, homemade sausage, fruit, milk. It all tasted good.
I definitely will recommend to all my friend. I will book again when I come back..

Guest UserVery friendly and great hospitality by the owners. They are friendly and helpful and gave us a food and attraction strategy guide which was very useful as our purpose in Hengdian was to visit the major filming studios. The estate was located deep in a neighbourhood area and we have a small problem locating the front entrance desk. Currently they are still doing upgrading to the estate with gardens and swimming pool (refer to photo). I'm sure it will look amazing once completed. The estate was built in 2023 from the ground up and was designed by the same designer who did the Qin Palace. No wonder this homestay has this ancient building look. The room was pretty nice but I find the bed to be too stiff. I'm used to a soft and cushy kind of bed back home and couldn't sleep well for the 3 nights we are there. My family members have no such problem though. Homemade breakfast was provided everyday by 1 of the cleaner cum cook lady. She was super friendly and the food are fantastic and healthy. This is definitely worth a look if you are looking for accomodation in Hengdian and want to experience a more localised feel compared to a standard hotel stay.

Guest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the Qin Palace and Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden scenic areas, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the room was spotlessly clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, comparable in quality to what you'd find in a star-rated hotel. It's great value for money and highly recommended as the top choice for anyone visiting Hengdian.

Malay Malaysian guest here😍 I stayed here for two nights as I was visiting Hengdian. overall I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. Cleanliness was very satisfying, the room n toilet were well maintained. The bathroom came with basic amenities like slippers, toothbrush, towels, and a floor mat. The shower, sink, and both hot and cold water worked perfectly.
The room was also well equipped with a kettle, cups, and some sachets (possibly coffee or tea). The TV and air conditioning were both functioning well, which made the stay comfortable.
One of the best things about this hotel is definitely the location. It’s situated along Wansheng Street, which is very lively and happening at night. You can easily walk around as everything is nearby, plenty of shops, restaurants, and even a pharmacy right in front of the hotel. For Muslim travelers like us, this location is especially convenient as there is a halal restaurant (qingzhen) just across the hotel, making it very easy to find halal food.
The receptionist was also very helpful and friendly. Even though there was a language barrier, they still tried their best to communicate and assist us.
Another great facility is the laundry room near the lobby. It’s very convenient, with 2 washing machines, a dryer, a steam iron n even detergent provided.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, facilities, and especially its strategic location✨✨✨✨✨

What a stroke of luck! As soon as we checked in, we met the legendary 'landlady' (bao zu po), who warmly escorted us to our room. We were absolutely delighted with the room we booked this time; it had two balconies facing different directions, offering a constant view of the performances 🎭. All the hotel staff were very friendly, and the concierge group chat was incredibly convenient, with super-fast responses. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

LianwengThe hotel is located directly within the scenic area, granting guests unlimited free entry and exit throughout their stay. During closing hours, food delivery comes directly to your room; during opening hours, it's delivered to the front desk. However, even the furthest rooms are only a 10-15 minute walk from reception, with some as close as 2-3 minutes. Rooms are scattered throughout the scenic area, each with a different style, and I'd estimate the tallest buildings are no more than three stories. Do note that some rooms lack elevators, and while it's only one or two flights of stairs, it might be inconvenient for elderly guests or those with young children, so it's best to specify your needs when booking.
The scenic area itself is mainly for sightseeing, costume photography, and enjoying shows and activities. It's not huge but is well-laid out; you can walk the entire park in about an hour. The NPCs are dedicated and enthusiastic, engaging well with visitors and creating a lively atmosphere. A special shout-out to the ever-present 'landlady' (Baozupo character) for her warm service, fulfilling all sorts of small wishes for the kids – truly appreciated!
Three things to note:
1. Since it's located within the Guangzhou Street scenic area and themed around various film and TV dramas, don't set your expectations too high for room size or internal facilities.
2. There are restaurants, a supermarket, and milk tea shops within the park. You won't go hungry, and prices aren't outrageous, but don't expect gourmet dining. Even food delivery options are limited, as Hengdian is essentially just a town.
3. This place is ideal for those who enjoy costume photography and family trips. If you're looking for deep cultural immersion or natural tranquility, this might not be the best choice.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hengdian, Half Summer. It’s not too crowded, I don’t have to wait for the lift for too long unlike in a hotel. Check in was a breeze. The staff there were friendly and helpful. For breakfast, you can choose either Chinese style or western style. I preferred the Chinese style breakfast. The bed was comfortable and I was able to have a good sleep every night. The shower always had hot water, even the basin as well. Basic toiletries were provided. The staff even provided complimentary mineral water (daily) and fruits as well. I could also order food delivery.
The location is wonderful. I took a high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao to Yiwu station, then from Yiwu station, I took a cab to 凌云 Lingyun Metro/Light Rail station. Then I took the metro/light rail from 凌云 Lingyun to 明清宫 Ming Qing Palace.
Once I exit the metro/Light Rail station, I took didi to the hotel directly.
From the hotel, it is only a 10-15 mins walk to 2 local night markets and bubble tea shops. Not to mention that the attractions are also just a short didi away.
The only thing that I hoped they provided was local tv channels. They do have a projector, but one would have to subscribe to watch local shows.

GunshalanRight next to Huating Night Market and across from Wansheng Street. Who knew you could smell the night market from the hotel? Couldn't resist going downstairs for a bite! 😂 However, you'll need to take a taxi to get to the tourist attractions, as public transport isn't that convenient for early mornings and late nights.

**Great Value for Money with Friendly Service**
I recently stayed at this hotel with my two friends and had a pleasant experience overall. The owner, a lovely lady, was incredibly friendly and made sure I felt welcome throughout my stay. The location is super convenient, with plenty of restaurants, fruit markets, and mini supermarkets nearby, making it easy to explore and grab anything you need.
The hotel is about 16 km away from the main attractions, roughly an hour's drive, so it’s a bit out of the way, but that also means it's quieter. The room itself was not the cleanest, but for the price, it was worth it. The essentials were covered with hot water, air conditioning, and all the basic amenities you’d expect, including free toiletries.
One of the best parts is that the hotel accepts foreigners without any issues, which made my stay stress-free. If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation with all the basic comforts and a very kind host, this place is a solid choice.
