Red Lion

This is our third time staying on their campsite in campervan. Food in the pub was excellent but you must have an healthy appetite as the portions are very generous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bonus is free bacon/egg muffin for breakfast if camping. Definitely will be returning again.

Fabulous stay great food and superb service. We stayed at the red lion and nothing was too much trouble. Food was fabulous.. my son forgot his kindle and they very kindly piped it in his luggage which was being picked up. This was such a relief so thank you x

We had a superb lunch here yesterday. The food was delicious you could tell there was a great knowledge of the ingredients used when tasting our food. I had Hunters Chicken 10/10, my partner had Rump Steak 10/10. They even make their own mustard 10/10. The owner/manager was very pleasant you can tell she will go above & beyond to make your dining experience memorable. We leave Durdle Door this Sunday. We will definitely go back before we go home.

We only had reasonable expectations about this pub but we were still disappointed. The food was not good at all, tasteless burgers and masses of dry overcooked ribs. Service reasonable but not great. Went to the Castle Inn a few miles away the next day that was fabulous. Worth the drive. I can’t imagine this place gets many return visitors.

Stopped for lunch. OK- the good stuff - the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The staff did spray the tables down after use and the place was clean albeit very tired and out of date. The decor needs a serious refurb. The less good - one of the weirdest pub menus I have ever seen - mostly burgers with pulled lamb or pulled pork or pulled something. There was fish on the menu - but even though it was printed on the pinky.beige photocopy menu it did not say what the fish was. Steak and Ale pie had almost as many hunks of potato as meat in it and at £16.95 not a great choice. I guess it is hard to screw up a burger though. Overall the meal was poor to awful.

The host's from the red lion went above and beyond to make our stay excellent 👌 👏 😀 👍 We would not hesitate to stay there again. Food was excellent and lots of it. They made you feel welcome. X

Slight problem with the heating which they fixed immediately. Staff very friendly. Food delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and we would definitely stay there again. Big thank you to Red Lion.😃

We had a pork board and a beef board. The meat was nice, but not particularly special, and the crackling was barely edible because it was rock hard. The sides of cheesy chips and onion rings were ok but I think you can see in the pictures that they were a little overdone. Don’t like to be fussy but we do eat out a lot when we’re away and want to give our honest opinion. Staff were friendly and dogs are made very welcome, which we appreciate (and they certainly enjoyed the meat!) It’s a shame outdoor eating is at the front of the pub only, despite having green space at the back, as this means you’re next to a busy road. Honestly, it was fine, but we probably wouldn’t go back.

The staff were very polite, helpful and hospitable. Breakfast was top notch! We felt very looked after and would definitely recommend this B&B is you're visiting Lulworth, Durdle Door or weymouth! The rooms are comfortable and clean. Thank you to all staff at the Red Lion! ＜3
