"Frankly, this was one of the worst four-star hotels I've stayed in. I made several trips to find it, and even when I got there via navigation, I couldn't see where it was. The entrance was pitifully small, with just a line of tiny text below the door, similar to a guesthouse in China. Regardless of the size, the overall cleanliness of hotels in Germany is acceptable. However, one of the sofa chairs in the room was incredibly old, with peeling fabric in many places, like an old sofa that no one wanted."

"Parkhotel Wittekindshof was a fantastic choice for a friend’s 50th birthday celebration in Dortmund. The room was excellent: comfortable, clean, spacious and really well presented. The location was great too, especially with a 24-hour petrol station next door that even does burgers — very useful after a late night! The staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout, which made the stay even better. The hot water was brilliant, and the hairdryer deserves its own five-star review — powerful enough to make you feel red-carpet ready. Only tiny suggestion: a microwave or way to heat food in the room would be handy."
