Have to explain why I’m giving 3/5 for cleanliness: I think there was a trash juice leakage in the stairway which left a trail and stank while I was staying. Other than that it’s a perfect place for solo travelling - good price to value, friendly staff, ease of checking in and out, adequate facilities and amenities... Overall it was a great experience

Wonderful hostel, you can rent the locker and umbrella and get your money back, lots of details smoothed me. I enjoyed this place very much and hopefully get to live there soon:)

Wir waren zum Luisenfest dort und haben es toll gefunden . Alles Sauber im Zimmer und sehr hygienisch. Natürlich ist es ein Haus aus dem Jahre 1884 was dazu führt das nicht alles perfekt ( kaputt) renoviert sein kann und soll. Das Macht aber den besonderen Charme aus. Tolle Leute arbeiten dort !
Frühstück ist alles da was macht braucht ohne übertriebene unnötige Sachen und kostet nur 8,50 Euro . Man kann drinnen oder draußen frühstücken was ich besonders liebe. W LAN war Soso aber da waren auch viele Leute eingeloggt .
Vom Balkon aus konnte ich das Fest voll überblicken.

Felt safe here as a solo female traveler. It was a very calm hostel, not much going on, but I was in off season also. The bar is open to the public, so there can be people from outside the hostel in the common areas. The kitchen was nice and showers huge and spacious to get ready in.

We were two guys on a cycling tour looking for a place to stay in Dresden for two nights. Hostel Mondelplast is central and in a area very lively in the evenings. The hostel provided us with a safe place to store our bikes which was very helpful. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and the atmosphere very relaxed. Great music was played in the bar!

Had a great time in Dresden, the hostel is well located, clean and includes a Bar & Kitchen area. Value for money, the breakfast is basic (but that opinion depends on what breakfast you're use to in your own country). The local area has a bohemian vibe, with street gatherings on the nights we were there. Staff are accommodating and friendly, particularly Kay, who was very helpful and chatted to guests at the bar till the early hours of the morning. Would recommend to a friend and would visit again...John Ireland

Such a great hostel to stay in! The common area and bar downstairs has a really cool vibe and is a great way to meet people from all over the world. Kay the receptionist is awesome! She made great cocktails and was lovely to chat with.

Very nice atmosphere, very nice people at the reception. There is a lot of space in the rooms as well as in the corridors. Everything seemed to me clean and in a good condition. I really recommend this hostel - also as it is very nicely situated in the most interesting and vibrant part of Dresden. The online check-in option seemed to me a little bit buggy still but anyway it finally worked and might have saved some time at the reception. Be aware that if you pay at the reception you might need to pay in cash...
