Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge Reviews

CB Hotel is located near other large hotels and close to the embassies. Hotel has a fantastic front facade and good restaurant. Rooms lacked the nice details: shower heads look like they came from a rugby club, complimentary water not replenished, lacking shampoo in the bathroom. Reception were very welcoming at check-in and check out.

I called to confirm my reservation. The person asked for my Sir name, I gave it twice to the service desk and he alleged I did not have a reservation under that name (my last name). The clerk said I have the wrong hotel. Therefore, i am unable to rate my stay at this location.

Very enjoyable

Location was perfect for us. A negative for me was using the lift from the car park - no notification of which floor to choose for reception. I would like to compliment them on the instruction in the bathroom on how to use the shower - very helpful. The TV needed some attention.

The staff at Clayton Ballsbridge was excellent. Not so much for Clayton Cardiff. The building is beautiful. The area was clean and the neighborhood was safe and secure. I would absolutely stay at Ballsbridge again. Our only issue was other travelers misbehaved children which is not the hotels fault.

A beautiful hotel in a great area of town. Walking distance to some great restaurants, and also an easy taxi ride into the center of the city. Highly Reccommend.

great hotel to stay for both couples and family's, room's spotless and cleaned daily, food excellent staff more than helpful, great location bus services every 15 minutes into city center

On line check in - although completed - no mail was received to state when room was available as detailed in the online check in process. Room OK. Lots of black mould in the bathroom and the shower

Vintage exterior, modern interior- love it.

We had two rooms booked for our stay, one on the 3rd floor and the second on the 6th floor. We were very disappointed by the room on the 3rd floor and found the bathroom to be very grubby with old tiles and dated. The bathroom still had a shower curtain and looked like it had not been updated in years. Our 6th floor room was very comfortable and I found it hard to believe the difference in the two rooms. The hospitality and restaurant service was truely dissapointing and I would really like to feed this back to the management. We had reserved a table for 3 people in the Grandstand. The waiting staff did not acknowledge us for about 20 minutes and then did not come back with our drink order at all. After about 15 minutes I went up to the bar to collect our order as I could see it was sitting in the bar going flat. The waiting staff were running around and it was very chaotic. I also noticed other tables were receiving the wrong orders and it was quite an unsettling environment. The food itself was lukewarm and not worth the high price tag. There should also be a service lift for the hotel employees as I found the catering and bar staff were using the main lift with big trolleys which really slowed it down. Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to any friends family’s or colleagues and I also would not be returning.

I love this hotel. Location is perfect and the hotel is a very high quality. However, I booked a twin room for 2 people but, without explanation, was given a room with just one bed. Luckily my colleague was unable to travel so one bed was sufficienct but the hotel people wouldn't have known that.

Very easy to get to light rail. Rooms were comfortable & quiet.
