We stayed here twice on the same trip! Thoroughly enjoyable visit late April before a hiking trip in the countryside. Cozy room, lovely staff, impressive breakfast, great bar. And a perfect location from which to explore the city. Returned for two nights following the hiking..to a tiny room about the size of a child’s bedroom, nearly filled by the bed, completely unworkable for two normal-sized adults to dress at the same time. It may have been storage at one time, or a dressing room, maybe even a single with one twin-sized bed, it was never meant to be a double bedroom. And just before 6 in the morning…BOOM, over and over, rattling the windows, and coming from inside the hotel(there’s plenty of street noise as well, but that can’t be helped due to the central location) My husband called the desk, they informed him that the noise was probably coming from the kitchen! It did not stop though….for another 20 minutes. No more sleep for us. We mentioned our unhappy situation to the reception desk,, who gave us an email for communicating the problem. Thanks. The staff is still lovely, the bar is great, even our tiny room was very clean and well organized, breakfast is terrific, but by price per square foot it is easily the most expensive hotel room that we’ve ever encountered,, and at that cost not the best.
