Buswells, across from the Parliament. What a grand, walkable location. Many shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is well trained, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. There are beverages, cold continental, with meats, Cheeses, fruits and pastries and then hot entrees to be ordered. Also in each room are large bottles of still and sparkling water. Beds are comfortable; fluffy towels in the bath. Comfortable and cozy bar area with tables and fireplace.

The hotel was very conveniently located. To many of the attractions that we wanted to see. The street was very quiet and save, and near many good music venues and eateries with great variety. The hotel had a historic charm with many conveniences

We stayed at Buswells on our arrival in Ireland for a few days. Paddy, the concierge, could not have extended us a warmer welcome on our bleary-eyed jet lagged arrival, offering coffee and pastries courtesy of the hotel! The hotel has a lovely bar and seating areas in the best sense of an old school hotel. Room was tight, but with a great bed and fabulous hot shower. All in, the nicest, most welcoming place we stayed during our stay in Ireland!

The staff is young, going through the motions, but it is obvious that they don’t care about the customer. A waste of money. Great location and that is the only reason they are still there. The rooms suck. Over priced and overpriced. Not worth a Holiday Inn.

I had a lovely stay at Buswells Hotel last month. The lobby and fireplace area are just beautiful – such a warm and welcoming space. The girl at reception was really friendly when I checked in, but I actually want to give a special shoutout to the housekeeping team. People don’t often leave reviews about how clean their room was, but honestly, they should! Do we even realize how much effort goes into making sure everything is spotless? My room was sparkling clean and really well presented. The furniture was a little old-fashioned, but that’s just style I think – it had nothing to do with how well everything was cared for. I just want to say a big well done to all the accommodation staff for their hard work and lovely attitudes. In other hotels I’ve stayed at, the staff often seem rushed, stressed, or even a bit down – but not at Buswells. Everyone seemed calm, friendly, and happy to help. Highly recommend staying here! Thanks so much, Suzanne

We stayed here twice on the same trip! Thoroughly enjoyable visit late April before a hiking trip in the countryside. Cozy room, lovely staff, impressive breakfast, great bar. And a perfect location from which to explore the city. Returned for two nights following the hiking..to a tiny room about the size of a child’s bedroom, nearly filled by the bed, completely unworkable for two normal-sized adults to dress at the same time. It may have been storage at one time, or a dressing room, maybe even a single with one twin-sized bed, it was never meant to be a double bedroom. And just before 6 in the morning…BOOM, over and over, rattling the windows, and coming from inside the hotel(there’s plenty of street noise as well, but that can’t be helped due to the central location) My husband called the desk, they informed him that the noise was probably coming from the kitchen! It did not stop though….for another 20 minutes. No more sleep for us. We mentioned our unhappy situation to the reception desk,, who gave us an email for communicating the problem. Thanks. The staff is still lovely, the bar is great, even our tiny room was very clean and well organized, breakfast is terrific, but by price per square foot it is easily the most expensive hotel room that we’ve ever encountered,, and at that cost not the best.

The staff is stuck up and unhelpful. A fire alarm went off 3 times starting at 2:30 in the morning until 4 in the morning. The receptionist blamed and pointed fingers at others while not fixing the problem. Old crummy rooms without any amenities. Stay away!!!!

Upon arrival at Buswells Hotel, we were told that our triple room was overbooked, however Ella was more than apologetic and informed us that we would receive and upgrade as compensation. Regardless of this thoughtful gesture, Ella was an example of excellent customer service, making friendly conversation, invaluable advice about the city, and guiding us personally to our room, plus making sure that all our questions and doubts were answered. Her personal touch would definitely be a factor in our return! Thanks Ella!
