Hotel Dubrovnik

This is a lovely little hotel. The staff was remarkably friendly and kind. The location is simply outstanding, the area is beautiful and the beach is a few minutes away. The room I stayed in was clean and roomy. I had a great dinner and Eddy even gave me a free drink. All in all a great experience. I highly recommend this place, and will surely stay here again when I come back!

The location of the hotel was excellent right on the pedestrian walk and just steps from the beach. Boris at the front desk was lovely and always helpful. I had forgotten a piece of clothing at another hotel in another city and a tour guide brought it to the hotel and they held onto it for five days until I could make it back to Dubrovnik. I was very grateful for their help. The breakfast were excellent and we also eat in the restaurant twice for dinner which was also very good. We felt that the one exception was we didn’t feel it was great value for the actual price we paid.

Look for other others! The carpeting in our room was stained and dirty, the sheets and towels were threadbare, the walls were marked and filthy. There was no room to even lay our suitcases on anything but the bed. The water was undrinkable. Doors have to be locked manually both inside and out with an old fashion key that’s not at all quaint. There was garbage sitting in a shelf outside our room and stayed there for over 24 hours. The mattresses were old and over soft. The breakfast looked so awful, we decided to skip and go out.

We had strolled into Lapad for the evening from Babin Kuk. We'd booked restaurants in advance for most of the week but this particular evening we wanted something more relaxed. We thought we'd try the Mexican (which has excellent reviews) but it was closed as it was a Monday, so, on the basis that there were seats outside we tried the Hotel Dubrovnic restaurant. What a mistake! We should have known when it wasn't busy. There was one lad serving. It took a while to get our drinks order (we ordered food at the same time). The menu wasn't huge. We didn't have starters but we'd asked for bread while we waited for our main course. The main course was a good while coming and yes, the bread came with it. We asked them to take it back as we didn't want it with the main, plus it looked really unappetising. I had the Beef stroganoff, usually a favourite of mine. The beef was fatty and the timbale of rice had something on it as well as a yellow stain transferred from the spoon that had been used to present it! My husband had the Filet Mignon - big mistake. Again fatty and inedible, as was the meat platter and spaghetti bolognese ordered by my son and daughter. So much so, that when my daughter got back to our hotel she was violently sick. As you can imagine, we didn't hang around (although we did have to wait for the bill). Those 4 meals plus 2 beers, a glass of wine and an Aperol Spritz cost us 132.50 Euros. We had lovely meals for the same price in both Dubrovnik Old Town and Babin Kuk. Avoid at all costs. It's a tourist trap in the middle of a busy street. Look elsewhere! (On another evening we booked the Madonna Restaurant just a couple of minutes away where we had a lovely dinner and a bottle of wine for the same price).

Last hotel on a trip across the balkans and the least enjoyable. The room I was given wasn’t clean and needs a massive overhaul . Matras needs replacing and door would only stay shut if locked with the massive key. It’s in a good location and WiFi is good . Breakfast very mediocre .

The staff at reception were very friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage after checkout. Location is great with the beach only a minutes walk and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. I don’t recommend the restaurant and unfortunately, we did not enjoy our complementary breakfast.

Absolutely awful restaurant! Unfortunately both my father and boyfriend both have food poisoning from the restaurant today due to them both having the seafood! It’s a ridiculous price and would recommend people to stay far away from the place!

Close to Lapad beach, lots of restaurants along the way for evening meals. Bus stop taking you to old town and back close by (No 6 bus!) Only let down for us was breakfast. Wasn’t covered so flys all over the food, and food didn’t look very appealing. Plenty of restaurants close by to go for breakfast for cheap. Would go back again.

We had dinner in the restaurant. Service was very poor. Meals on the menu are priced without the garnish. Everything is totally overpriced! Food was very poor!! We had Dubrovnik meat platter and we were served raw pork fillet and čevapćići. Meat is not good quality on general. I would strongly advise you not to eat there.
