Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain

Our Six Senses experience was incredibly comfortable and created precious, unforgettable memories! I was quite apprehensive before arriving, having seen some negative reviews that made me hesitate. However, I'm so glad I stuck with it! Six Senses truly lives up to its name – like a Ferrari, quality is timeless. Every single detail of the service and experience was absolutely superb. The swimming pools, including the splash pool, were wonderfully relaxing. The 90-minute bamboo spa was incredibly soothing, melting away all our fatigue. Breakfast was abundant and delicious; I particularly loved Six Senses' butter. The homemade cucumber, apple, and orange infused water was incredibly refreshing. Even in such a short stay, we managed to play Gobang (Five-in-a-Row), billiards, visit the chicken coop to collect fresh eggs, and take evening strolls – how wonderful is that? Oh, and my butler, Yannie, was absolutely exceptional! She was incredibly responsive to all our needs and managed every detail with such thoughtful care. I was completely satisfied with her service throughout our stay! Our vacation time is precious, and spending 3 days here was absolutely worth every moment. There was so much to enjoy at the hotel, and I will definitely be back! I'll forever cherish the memory of the evening breeze at the foot of Mount Qingcheng.

Staying at the Six Senses Hotel, all the services truly exceeded my expectations! During check-in, they patiently explained the hotel's amenities and proactively shared recommendations for local dining and transportation. They thoughtfully assisted with transfers and helped with our luggage, collected takeout containers, drew a hot bath, and even fixed the TV in our room. Any questions we had later were met with quick, enthusiastic, and helpful responses. They consistently had friendly smiles, demonstrating both professionalism and genuine warmth. This exceptional service made our entire stay truly perfect, and I simply have to give them a glowing review!

## Facility Flaws: The small TV is positioned an impractical 6-7 meters from the sofa. It took a full two minutes for hot water to come through for showering and washing – quite a long wait. The toilet isn't a smart bidet type and is inconveniently located 6-7 meters from the bedroom. The kettle is awkwardly placed inside a cabinet, making it cumbersome to use. The slippers provided were neither disposable nor suitable for the bathroom; their cleanliness/sanitation is questionable. Soundproofing is poor; you can clearly hear every footstep. The garden and windows also offer little privacy. The bathtub is large, but there were no bath salts. Most drawers were stuck and unusable. The door between the vanity area and the living room was awkwardly positioned, whether open or closed. The step between the living room and bedroom poses a tripping hazard. ## Service Staff: The staff appeared to be a group of young, intern-like individuals. They were overly deferential, yet lacked confidence. No welcome tea was offered proactively – are guests expected to help themselves? There was no turndown service. At 11 AM, the farm had no staff in sight, only scattered cigarette butts and two children waiting for eggs to be laid by the chickens. The pre-set air conditioning was excessively strong – 20°C with maximum fan speed. I felt unwell for two days from the chill. The comfortable standard is 23°C with a low fan. Regarding housekeeping, wouldn't it be more appropriate to clean during breakfast or when guests are out at midday? Is simply getting the job done in the morning considered a completed task? Breakfast options were 95% repetitive. The layout and arrangement of tables and chairs at breakfast were illogical; I doubt any guest would want to navigate stairs just to get food. To their credit, the butlers and junior managers made efforts to compensate and improve the situation. Overall, however, it fell far short of the expectations one holds for a Six Senses property. If the hotel genuinely reflects and implements reforms, there might be hope, as Qingcheng Mountain itself is a wonderful destination for leisure.
