Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of our room, the mist-shrouded mountain forest was as beautiful as an ink painting, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of earth and vegetation. The afternoon tea was even more amazing: handmade pastries paired with a seasonal fruit platter. Sitting on the viewing terrace, listening to the raindrops dripping from the eaves, the hustle and bustle of the mountain world was completely detached. The most commendable thing was the mushroom hotpot for dinner! The owner explained that the mushrooms are all picked that morning from the mountains, and the broth is simmered for hours with an old hen.
