This guesthouse truly exceeded my expectations! The common areas were spotless, the room was clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. The owner was incredibly warm and genuine, offering fantastic, non-commercial recommendations for sightseeing routes. It felt just like staying at a friend's place. Plus, the value for money was outstanding! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dunhuang.

This guesthouse is located right at the foot of Mingsha Mountain. From the balcony, you can overlook the mountain and catch the beautiful sunset. The interior is spacious and tidy, with a lovely blend of Japanese style and Dunhuang characteristics. Both inside and outside, the walls are adorned with exquisite mural-style decorative paintings, creating an overall comfortable and elegant atmosphere. The facilities are comprehensive, with a thoughtful hot water dispenser so you can always have hot drinks, and the humidifier is a lifesaver, a must-have in the Northwest! The owner is incredibly warm and attentive. Before heading out, we'd always ask for his recommendations, which were spot-on. We even hitched a ride to the city with him quite often, haha. And I highly recommend the breakfast臊子面 (sauteed pork noodles) – it's truly delicious!

During the National Day holiday, the location, guesthouse environment, and room facilities were truly worth the price; excellent value for money. The breakfast was also very good, and the owner was incredibly kind, even taking me to the airport (I had a sudden health issue, my trip had to be cancelled, and my car was transported back). I'm so grateful! I feel like I'll definitely come back to Dunhuang again!

The guesthouse is a 15-minute walk from the Mingsha Mountain Scenic Area, making it convenient to stroll back after an evening stargazing concert. It's also a great location, only a 15-20 minute drive from the airport, high-speed rail station, and Mogao Grottoes. The guesthouse has a small courtyard with a pool, where the jujube trees are laden with fruit this season. The rooms are very spacious and thoughtfully equipped with disposable bath towels and face towels. The owner is very welcoming, offering suggestions for our itinerary and even driving us to the Mogao Grottoes himself. We noticed many foreigners also chose this guesthouse. Overall, I think it's fantastic in every way, and I'm so glad I chose Dunhuang Junyi Guesthouse – highly recommended!
