The hotel is quite remote, so takeout wasn't available for delivery at night. Cleanliness was acceptable. We booked a family room, which was quite large and decorated in a minimalist style. However, the quality of the decor was clearly subpar. For a nightly rate of over 5,000 yuan, the quality was... The service was okay; you could tell the staff were trying hard, but it wasn't quite up to par for the price. There weren't many amenities or entertainment options, and the kids were quite bored. Honestly, the value for money was quite low. The hotel offers a sunset desert picnic, which isn't cheap, but it's still quite enjoyable to have the entire desert to yourself.

The hotel team has proven that Biyue is the ultimate luxury choice in Dunhuang. You can sense that the hotel incorporates elements from many high-end hotels around the world, making for a truly comfortable stay. The Xiyu hotpot was delicious, and for those who love taking photos, the desert picnic is highly recommended. The meticulously arranged sunset scene was truly stunning. A special shoutout to our housekeeper, Flora, who perfectly accommodated our every request. She thoughtfully bought sand-proof shoe covers, coordinated the picnic based on weather conditions and our schedule, arranged airport transfers, and even upgraded our room. She was incredibly thoughtful. I also want to commend the restaurant, which delivered a roast chicken late at night despite us being out late. The driver and guide were incredibly knowledgeable and had excellent photography skills. The bartender on the rooftop was patient and attentive, even helping to clean up after the sparklers were set off. Overall, the team was incredibly service-minded, courteous, and considerate. I'm thrilled to see such a world-class hotel in Dunhuang.

During this trip to Dunhuang, I stayed at both Dongyi and Biyue for one night. The price was the same, but I experienced a world of difference in service and experience. But the reason why I wrote this review is mainly because the service and enthusiasm provided by Luke, the butler of Biyue, really made us feel at home, and always put the needs of the guests first. From booking the hotel before departure and effective communication on the phone, because we did not follow a group, Luke took the initiative to arrange the itinerary for us according to our flight, including the use of cars, tickets, and food throughout the process. Including the entire Biyue service team can feel this attitude of focusing on the needs and feelings of the guests, which really makes people feel very comfortable. I suggest that if you hesitate between Dongyi and Biyue like I did before, believe me, you don’t need a day, choose Biyue without a brain, and contact Luke without a brain!
