Minnies Rooms

We loved the friendly hospitality. Mayanne couldn't do enough for us. She enjoyed hearing about our activities and had good local knowledge. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom (though small) had everything that we needed. The view from our room was wonderful. So relaxing. We really enjoyed sitting looking out whilst eating breakfast (including warm muffins or pastries each morning) watching the wildlife, from sparrows in the garden hedge to leaping dolphins in the inlet. It was great to have use of a small fridge and there was also a microwave oven, but we didn't use it. We had a kettle and tea/ coffee/biscuits provided in the room. Tip - have an evening meal in the Old Schoolhouse during your stay. Best to book.

Cozy room with breathtaking views of Loch Dunvegan that is just outside the window, a lovely Continental breakfast cart brought to your room and cheerful, helpful staff. Can’t wait to come back again.

Minnie’s Rooms is a fantastic b and b. I stayed in whats billed as the small croft room. It was clean and cosy. The bed was really comfy - an Emma mattress- and there is a large ensuite bathroom complete with fantastic contemporary shower. The continental breakfasts come on a trolley so you have it at a table in your room and are fantastic - in particular the warm croissants are lovely but it also comes with porridge, cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Very generous breakfast. There is access to a small fridge and microwave in the hall. The host’s hospitality is exemplary - she is welcoming and very friendly. The location of this bungalow is great, central in Dunvegan and spectacular views over the water to MacLeods tables. Highly recommend.

Lovely little place with an awesome view. The breakfast is fabulous. You can enjoy it with a view in your own room. We had our bathroom opposite of the corridor. It was a private bathroom though. Bed is a bid soft. All amenities are there and we loved the cleanliness. The hospitality is great. I can no more than recommend the place. Take note it can be a bit noisy but after 10pm it is all silent. That is the policy.

We stayed one night at Minnie’s Rooms and it was so “us.” Very low key and relaxed. The room was simple but immaculately clean. The best bit was the view. WOW! Breakfast was served on a trolley to our room and we were able to enjoy it in privacy all while looking at that view. And it was copious: toast, warm croissants, cereal, juice, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, tea. It’s in close proximity to Dunvegan Castle and about half an hour to Portree. There are also plenty of places to eat well within walking distance. Wished we had more than one night.

Mayanne was such a lovely host! She really went out of her way to make us feel looked after and comfortable. Lovely view from our room to enjoy continual breakfast as well as the sunset after long days of hiking

our stay here was superb, everything was perfect. Magnificent view. She is a wonderful person.

The stay was great! Our room has the loveliest view of the water. We were able to watch the tide come in and out throughout our stay. Mayanne was helpful and kind. She recommended to book dinner ahead of time, which we did for The Old School (it was delicious). She also provided recommendations for our travel back to Edinburgh and we really enjoyed the tour she suggested.

Staff were amazing and very accommodating. Walls seemed a bit thin for hearing.
