Royal Ushaka Hotel Morningside ★★★
"I am happy with everything; the room was clean. I am happy with everything; the room was clean. 100%"
Onomo Hotel Durban ★★★
"It was a great experience. the food was great, I loved their pizza a lot. The staff made my son's birthday special☺️"
The Royal Hotel by Coastlands Hotels & Resorts ★★★
"Great facility with a very spacious room, friendly staff and great location whether you are using your own car or public transportation."
Belaire Suites Hotel ★★★★
"The sea view is so beautiful, the breakfast is so rich, and the waiter is so nice"
Bayside Hotel 116 West Street ★★★
"Loved it"
268 on Ridge Guesthouse ★★★
"This accommodation is basic but neat and comfortable. We arrived late in the evening but there was someone waiting to receive us. The garden rooms are small but we were just looking for a decent shower, toilet and a comfortable place to sleep. There is DSTV. The parking was fine and safe. Some items like furniture may need some repair or replacement. I can overlook the minor repair issues based on the need just to have a clean and neat place to sleep over"
Royal Palm Hotel ★★★★
"The accommodations were highly satisfactory, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. The housekeeping services were exceptional; however, a minor concern arose regarding the cleanliness of the bathtub. Aside from this isolated issue, the overall experience was very positive."
Madeline Grove Bed & Breakfast ★★★
"the best stay with my children, service was tops, the ladies (Staff) were friendly and the best 2 gentlemen (managers) assisted us with everything, and we were happy, the place its clean and beautiful, most the is a peace of mind. even referred a friend same day was leaving excellent service indeed"
The Edward ★★★★
"It's a hotel in the beachfront, a bit of outdated decor but the staff was great, room service was spectacular and we had a spacious room and very comfortable bed. I don't know what's up with hotels not providing a tv with clear channels and programmes?? The quality picture is terrible, we use smart tvs now I don't know why they aren't upgrading to that."

Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani
"The staff members so friendly especially at the bar floor 2 😍 very helpful and the food is great"
Pavilion Hotel Durban
"Perhaps the room service ladies could be nicer. The attitude is not welcoming at all. Breakfast is just limited to two choices which I wasn't happy about because there was so much I couldn't even eat.. the front desk is ok. Lounge and bar looks good. Will I be going back there? My answer is only if I run out of options then I could. "
Protea Hotel Durban Umhlanga
"It's very close to the beach, very safe, I like it here. There is also a very delicious steak house nearby, and some seafood restaurants. There is food everywhere, very delicious, and the price is not high."
Suncoast Hotel & Towers
"The hotel is clean and smells good. It is in a good location with a direct enterance into Suncoast. The room we were given was not the room that was showed in the pictures. The room should have had a bathtub as seen on the pictures for the room on trip.com, but the room does not have a bathtub. It's very disappointing considering that I booked it for the bathtub. When I went to ask reception about it, all she did was say that it is trip.com's fault for using the wrong pictures. She then offered me a room with a bathtub, but we had to pay more. I didn't take her offer, how can they ask a customer to pay more when they made the mistake and have the product shown incorrectly? The room did not have toothbruhes. I had to ask at reception for two toothbrushes, they only gave me one and said that they will send another one to the room later. The toothbrush never came. At check in I had signed for room 327, but at that time the room was not ready. Eventually while we waited we got the key cards and it had two numbers written on the envelope- 327 and 329. 327 had a single line going through it so we naturally assumed the room is 329.The door didn't open when we inserted the card into 329 but it did open on room 327. While we were sitting in the room I was contacting trip.com's customer service and someone else just managed to open the door with their card. Later, the reception called us and told us to just stay in that room because they had messed up. There is some construction happening on the one floor of the hotel and it is an eyesore to look at from the upper level, tiles are removed there id furniture still there covered in dust. Overall, this hotel is extremely overpriced and the location is not enough to justify the highprice. Other hotels charge less and actually have rooms with bathtubs as advertised. Stay here if you are looking for disappointment and a money waster."
The Oyster Box
"Am Samke Phewa, My cousin Ntokozo and I just completed an incredible stay at the Oyster Box hotel( Checked in Wednesday the 2nd and checked out Friday the 5th June 2026) . What a wow!!! I would recommend it anytime any day. From the moment we drove in, the staff at the entrance was so helpful, with feel at home greetings, warm welcoming smiles while directing me to park, offloading our luggage and escorting us to the reception area, what a top to the T attention!!! I would like to extend my thanks to the Reception staff who welcomed us with complimentary drinks, treated us with professionalism and genuine care. A special Thank You to Nonto and manager( I've forgotten her name, beautiful dimpled young lady) at High Tea, they made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured we had a wonderful experience. A special Thank You to Julian, who chauffeured us for two conservative evenings. His friendly personality, immaculate vehicle, soft background music, and engaging conversation made every journey aa pleasure. We were also delighted by the thoughtful touches in our room, including the beautifully prepared decor and complimentary gifts made our birthday very special. Every staff we met with and engaged with during our stay truly understands the meaning of exceptional hospitality and they contributed in creating a very lasting memory for me and my cousin. Even though i have forgotten some of their names, you guys on duty during our arrival, breakfast room time, high tea time, by the pool side time, room service, am thankful to all of you for contributing in making our milestone celebration incredible. We looking forward into coming back again in the near future"
Cowrie Cove Guest House
"This is a fantastic guesthouse/hotel. The rooms are spacious, the backyard is right on the beach, breakfast is cooked by a professional in the morning, and there's a swimming pool. Unfortunately, it was too cold to swim, but overall it felt like excellent value for money."
Sanchia Luxury Guest House
"Very professional, helpful and kind don’t mind recommending it to my friends and family. Didn’t mind going out their way to provide excellent service."
AmmaZulu African Palace
"Excellent accomodation and in a great location. Very peaceful and relaxing. I definitely will be back"
The Capital Pearls Hotel
"This is the one of the best hotel of my trip in SA. The swimming pool is amazing and fantastic. The view is also very well. I stayed in South Africa for 1 month and stayed in 10 different hotels. This one is really imprrssive. And I have view the best moon in my lives. I think I am even willing to cross half of the earth to stay there again. The room is not bad. But the disadvantage is the attitude of the receptionist and the professionalism of the restaurant staff are not good enough. Delayed the hotel's progress."
Protea Hotel Karridene Beach
"Been there a few times with the family. I really enjoyed the outdoor facilities (pool, put put, games room). The meals in the restaurant are well prepared and tasty. Problems are that many items that my group ordered from the menu were not available (lamb shank, pizza, etc). The meals also take very long to prepare. The staff are all very friendly and very eager to assist."
Zar
"I loved my room . It was quite spacious and very neat and elegant. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and they would do housekeeping everyday. I will not hesitate to stay With them again next time am in Durban."
The Riverside Hotel
"All I can say, this is the place to be and I will recommend you to my friends, family and clients even people who want to come to spend holidays here in Durban I will make it a point that they come to you"
Blue Waters Hotel
"Didn’t like the location as it was not in a clean area. The breakfast was ok as there was a variety of dishes to choose from. The room could have been a lot cleaner, the curtains in the room were dirty and needed cleaning. Every time we took a shower there was water all over the floor because it leaked."
Garden Court South Beach Hotel
"Nice and clean place.serving with love .they have a good customer service.nice view.my family was enjoying to be there.we want to go there again.cant wait, they are friendly.serve people with smile and warm welcoming.they accept anyone"
Casa Ridge Self-Catering
"True self catering - hosts left us to ourselves though they were available when needed. Good quality property. Quiet and peaceful."
Holiday Inn Express DURBAN - UMHLANGA by IHG
"Hotel staff were very friendly and room was clean. Just a few amenities that weren’t up to standard. Insufficient parking bays for guests , aircon did not cool the room only heated it and tv was not working."
