Hyatt Regency Dusseldorf

The location is far from the city center, and the service is so-so. When I checked out, I lost a curling iron in my room. I told the front desk, and they asked a staff member to look for it, telling us to wait. After searching for over half an hour, they told me they couldn't find it in the room. I said, "Of course I can't find it! I searched the entire room before checking out; it's definitely in the room." The front desk didn't offer any solutions. They just told me to leave my email address and send them a photo of the lost curling iron so they could continue searching and let me know when they found it. There wasn't a single hint of apology throughout the entire process; they felt like we were deliberately causing trouble. I suspect the housekeeping staff stole it. This is the first time I've lost something at a hotel; I won't be staying at this hotel again.

The Hyatt in Düsseldorf is a well-run hotel with a high occupancy rate, and it's one of my personal favorites. Several of Düsseldorf's famous trendy restaurants are within walking distance across the bridge, and I've stayed at this hotel more than once.
