We stayed on a Saturday night in a family room which was quiet and comfortable as with any Premier Inn. At check in we were told we had to book a breakfast time but although it wasn’t even 3pm, the only breakfast slots left were 7, 7.30 and 10.00. However, we we finished breakfast just after 8 and the restaurant was still empty which highlighted to the unnecessary booking system which had made us wake up earlier than needed on a Sunday morning.

Went to Eastbourne for a break before going on to Canterbury. Enjoyed the hotel and the breakfast and dinner was lovely. It was a pity that the lift was out. Used the hotel,to,enjoy the abba exhibition in Brighton which was reached by a very good bus service

I absolutely love this hotel and have stayed several times. The staff are amazing and a credit to Premier Inn. Carly quickly replied to my email request and found us a room which we were happy with and that creates a positive start for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The hotel is very central, in an excellent location, close to the beach and shopping centre. It's a pleasant walk to beachy head and the harbour. A family network saver ticket only costs £12 so avoids the hassle of driving Brighton and paying for parking.

Stayed for a 2 night break over Easter, room was clean although very hot the first night as although we turned the air con on at 3.45am it didn’t actually turn on until 6.55am, this was sorted the next night by the receptionist who switched it on from downstairs. The only downside was that we had booked a Premier Plus room which was on the 3rd floor & the lift was out of order ( we had been emailed prior to our stay to say the lift wasn’t working but didn’t know our room was on the top floor). Would like to mention Carly the receptionist who checked us in on Friday & was in the restaurant for breakfast service, such a bubbly character who pointed us in the right direction for things to do & spent time talking to all the guests in the restaurant each morning even though she was rushed off her feet and asked all the children what they were doing that day, she really is a credit to you

Very central, so good location, although there were a lot of dodgy characters around the area in the evening. Reception was manned when I checked in and out but the lift wasn’t working. Luckily I am able to walk upstairs stairs but would have been unfortunate for anyone disabled. There is a distinct smell of cigarette smoke by the fire door at the bottom of the stairs, so obviously people go out that way to smoke. I was on the first floor and as soon as you arrive in the corridor it smells musty and damp and on entering my room the smell was very intense. The windows don’t open so the room can’t be aired, which could exacerbate the problem. The room was clean, I had everything I needed and there was little or no noise so I had a good nights sleep.

I spent some months working in Eastbourne and regularly stayed a few nights in the week at PI. The location is very central with a few minutes walk to the town centre or the sea front. There is a NCP carpark next door which costs around £7 per day. The rooms and the hotel are a fairly good standard and the staff were great. I did not eat in the hotel as there is a huge choice of restaurants in Eastbourne. My one complaint was that the lift is out of order and has been for about 9 / 10 weeks. It is not the end of the world but carrying luggage up 3 flights of stairs is hardwork for an oldie. PI offered me 65p per day for the inconvenience which I thought was a bit miserable. Putting the lift issue to one side, PI offers good budget accommodation.

Perfect location, perfect hotel, perfect staff. The rooms were massive, spotless and had everything we needed. Carly, one of the team members, was brilliant - so caring for my elderly parents and really made them feel special. Big thumbs up from us - we will be back!

We booked a Premier Plus room which was very spacious, and with a quality bathroom, fridge, coffee machine etc was well worth the extra cost. The location is great, right in the town centre yet a few yards from the seafront, and a 10 minute walk from the train station.
