Reception on first floor unexpected and unappealing. Entrance way to hotel had rubbish all around. Check-in standard. Room dirty with dust and cobwebs. Nice view of river. On 3rd morning asked at reception for room service (just bin to be emptied, more toilet roll needed). Put notice on door. Returned that night nothing had been done. TV remote not working had to ask for batteries. No parking despite an adjacent car park area but only for EVs/disabled - no objection to that of course BUT NOT USED!! We didn't get any discount on multi-storey car park across road (£10-£11 per night. Won't be back.

The entrance for a first-time guess is a bit odd. The check-in lobby was on the second floor. It wasn't very warm and inviting. I didn't prepay for breakfast because my daily plans were very fluid. When I went down for breakfast the next morning, the receptionist checked her list to see if I was on it (prepaid list). I told her that I wasn't and paid for my meal. While serving myself, another lady asked me if I paid for my meal - which made me feel like I did something wrong. She asked for my room number and came back with my room bill and said, there wasn't any charges for breakfast on my room bill. This irritated me while I was trying to enjoy my breakfast. I told her again that I paid a different lady for it just now. That experience ruined my entire stay.

Generally a good stay with a nice breakfast and a bright, clean bedroom. Got a good night sleep. Parking not available on site but nearby parking discounted. Unfortunately Tv was a bit outdated. No iron available as no staff on reception desk when needed. Face wash cloths not available.

The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and beds comfy as always. Great location near the wedding venue.

Unfortunately we had a really bad experience! Staff was rude, the room was dirty and the food was very limited due to staff not turning up so putting very inexperienced staff into the kitchen. We got to the hotel late due to travel for a family wedding. Where unfortunately the room didn't have the correct amount of beds. We booked a family room whoever when getting there we was only given a double bed and one single. So we had to request another single plus a travel cot and that hadn't been put in either. Staff was very unprofessional when coming to the room and rather rude in comments. We asked if we could change rooms and was told no. We explained we needed a larger room and told that was the biggest they had. We asked if possible to transfer hotels and was told no again. This all happened very late evening around 10.20pm we had 3 small children and staff wasn't bothered and didn't rush to provide the extra beds. The room it's self was dirty all marks on the walls and dust everywhere. The bathroom was also dirty and not even the toilet roll had been replaced just an opened semi used loo roll placed in there. I had to was the bath down before using it due to dust and dirt. Nothing had clearly been cleaned between guests. We tried to speak to reception the next morning as not only was the room terrible the guests in the next room was very loud and had woke us up at 6am the next morning. However no staff where available to speak to us. Every time you went to reception there was no staff around at all. The Sunday morning breakfast was terrible. The cook hadn't turned up so a young member of staff had been put into the kitchen. She was telling guests she didn't know what to do and guests was advertising her on how to cook everything. There was 3 other members of staff sat together on a table and when asked if they was going to help they said they couldn't. The buffet section had also run almost empty and wasn't restocked. When we was leaving the eating area staff could be heard in the reception area moaning about their day and one was heard saying she was ready to walk out. This was all happening Infront of guests and clearly no managers was around. The hotel it's self in the stairs well and lift area was dirty and there was a very nasty smell around the hotel. All marks on walls and the floors also looked untouched.

For £56 for a family room great value. Room was clean etc. No issues. Parking in the multi-storey was very expensive so would check ahead of time the rates. It was £11 for Sunday 8pm to Monday 9.30am. It was a bank holiday. 4 people in room, 2 adults 2 children. Comfortable enough for an overnight stay.
