Edinburgh is expensive in August, so this hostel offered good value for money. It's located right next to Holyrood Palace, about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center, and close to both Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill. The rooms have key card access, which felt very secure, and there's a shared kitchen available. The front desk staff, who might have been students, were very welcoming and friendly. There are signs in the room reminding guests, this is student accommodation and not a hotel! Haha So that being said, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was decent enough but my pillows were flat. My view..was forgettable and the rooms don’t have daily tidy up. Access to the kitchen was great though. It was like a stocked kitchen in there. Also, where the tv is if you’re expecting one in the room.

Place is little out fron city centre but nice and quiet and.they have kitchen which you can use.public transport is widely available. Overall nice place to stay

The location is quite faraway from city center, the price is much cheaper than hotel during summer although there are some minor inconvenient, it does the job
