Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile

The location is excellent, situated on the Royal Mile near Holyrood Palace. It's about a 15-minute walk to Calton Hill and very convenient for exploring the Old Town. Edinburgh Waverley train station is also just a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The advantage of an apartment hotel is being able to cook your own meals. It comes with an induction hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. Once again, I found myself paying 2,000 RMB a night in the UK for a hotel with polyester bedding. The bed was uneven, one side high and one side low, and I almost fell off. The showerhead in the bathroom was broken; I requested a repair, and it was fixed. However, the sink drainage was very slow. Someone came to address it, but it's still slow, indicating that the bathroom facilities are quite subpar. There's no phone in the room, so I had to use my mobile to call the front desk for anything. Usually, other hotels call to ask if you're extending your stay or checking out that day, but this hotel didn't send any reminders. By the time I realized, it was already 1:15 PM. At checkout, I was charged a £25 late checkout fee, and my pleas were to no avail 😂

The accommodation is very conveniently located within walking distance from the station, coming via East Market Street which is a smooth path. The room has a kitchen with clean and usable appliances. The room is new and doesn't have any food odors. However, there's a policy of no room cleaning during your stay. It's very convenient for traveling to tourist attractions.

This Accor apartment brand is fantastic! The location is superb, right at one end of the Royal Mile, close to Calton Hill and Holyrood Palace. We stayed for three days and found it incredibly convenient for exploring every day. There's also a Tesco Express not far away, so it was easy to grab some food after a day of sightseeing. The apartment itself has a kitchen, tableware, and a dishwasher, which was very convenient.
