The Rutland Hotel & Apartments

Really lovely location in the heart of Edinburgh’s west end…. Great bed and bathroom with excellent amenities. Only improvement for me would be less extreme wall art - I found the huge photograph of a man on the wall of the living room space rather intimidating and odd, and some of the other modern art pieces were not to taste either, so if returning is request a different room. Staff were absolutely lovely and the breakfast croissant at Huxley next door was perfect.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location, with big rooms and good service !

The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. If it were not for them my score would have been lower. The hotel itself was fine, but I would not say soundproof. Each night I stayed there were ambulance/police sirens that could easily be heard. Also loud music and loud vehicles could be heard from my room. You can’t hear regular street noise, but I was woken up more than a few times.

We loved staying at The Rutland! It’s in a great location within walking distance of most of the major sights. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts and coffee in the hotel restaurant were always delicious. We loved the decor and size of our room. Everything was perfect!!

We only stayed one night while waiting for our air BnB, but it was wonderful! Everything was clean and fresh. The room was big and had everything we needed. It smelt amazing. The staff were so kind and accommodating! Highly recommend.

We had booked 3 x 2 bed appartments, however one of the "2 bedroom" appartments had an additional room with bunk beds. I wish we had been told that as I would have just booked 2 appartments 2 of the appartments were basement level. The stairs off the main street would not be suitable for anyone with a slight hesitation for stairs. The other was 4th floor, so again, we had to pick which couple could manage those stairs. Beautifully furnished and both basement appartments had patio/garden areas which was lovely. Right at the end of Princess Street (Haymarket end) was an ideal location with no shortage of choice of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops

Lovely apartments, great location and well decorated. The apartment was really spacious and has a fully working kitchen and spa bath with lovely Aaron Aromatics toileteries.
