Nkambeni Safari Camp

It was a lovely experience, i do think complementary water can be peovided but apart from that everything was wonderful!

The stuff is really good, from the managers to the waitresses. Ladies from the front desk are of great help and really funny! Big S/O to Sis Jenny, Charity, Charlotte and Winnie for helping me pull a perfect surprise for my boyfriend - he loved it! You guys are the best!

This is definitely Gamping at its finest! Luxury 'Tents' that are more comfortable than most hotel rooms, beds big, water hot even has a kettle. Breakfast and Dinner were very good. Bar and Restaurant area comfortable with views over Kruger. Swimming pool was lovely after a day's Safari, refreshing and clean. The location is the cherry on top here. After checking in went went to the pool area where we saw Hippos in a pond a few feet beyond the perimeter electric fence, an Elephant then walked past not far in the distance. The Nungwi entrance to Kruger is so close you take the jeeps from the hotel. The staff were also all excellent, I cant think of anything to criticise this resort.

We had the most awesome 2 day stay at this beautiful safari camp. The service from the moment we arrived until we left was exceptional. The newly renovated tents were impeccably clean and looked stunning. The linen were crisp white and one felt like never getting out of the bed. Absolutely stunning new tents. The general manager Jabulani and his team were absolutely fantastic hosts and they gave us a memorable stay at this beautiful safari camp. Thank you so much. We highly recommend Nkambeni Safari Camp and will definitely be back.

Kruger’s best kept secret. Amazing facilities, with a great breakfast buffet served by a very experienced chef (who made perfect easy over egg). Excellent well kept rooms. A lovely pool with an awesome view. Great people offering unbelievable service.

I stayed 2 nights at Nkambeni Safari Camp as part of a travel group together with my mum. At arrival we were told to put stickers with the room number on the luggage for delivery. It took extremely long for the luggage to arrive (45min) albeit our room was next to the parking lot. I saw the car including the luggage and 2 guys approaching. I was watching them because I was waiting for it. I saw one guy closing my zip of my suitcase and I got concerned, because I closed my zip (but I did not lock it, my fault). When opening my suitcase the zipped mesh divider inside my suitcase was open (I close it every time). Nothing was missing except a bag with Christmas cookies which was inside my mums suitcase. The next day before leaving for the game drive I closed all the zip’s (inside and outside) and on top I locked my suitcase. When coming back surprisingly I was not able to open my suitcase with my code anymore. I was seeing the front desk, they called the cleaning lady and some manager, telling me that no staff member touched my suitcase. The manager let someone opening up my suitcase by breaking the zip (see picture). And inside the suitcase it was the same situation, the mesh divider inside was open (as I said, I close it every time). I am not accusing the cleaning lady. The room is accessible all the time, the door to the outdoor shower was broken and not lockable anymore plus the staff knew the travel group is on the game drive the whole day! Therefore some staff member went into my room, opened my suitcase with a TSA key or some related tool (somehow the code changed then) and searched trough my stuff. Another bag of German sweets (chocolate almonds) which we put in the shelf „disappeared“. Nothing from my suitcase is missing, not sure what this person was looking for (more food?!). I have left Nkambeni Safari Camp with an unsafe feeling, knowing there work people who are stealing, overstepping boundaries by opening my locked suitcase and the manager was not helpful at all. No compensation or whatsoever was offered to me but obviously I will have to repair the suitcase / replace it. My stay there became a very bad experience, I would never come back and I cannot recommend staying there.

The Safari camp was in the middle of Kruger National Park. The African buffalo actually roamed just outside the gates. A true, authentic safari camp experience. The staff were AWESOME! The food was absolutely delicious! The tent accommodations met my expectations; in and outside shower, toilet, sink, armoire wardrobe, nice canopy bed, working air conditioning, and porch with seating. The game drives were amazing! We saw the Big five! The grounds were nice. I recommend visiting this place and experiencing the game drive.

The Camp was nice. As it was raining when we arrived., Everything was damp. The Tents are well equipt but no water bottles ore hairdryer in the tent. The tents are to near so you ca hear every word from your next tent. During peak time very crowded. The Food was average. Only Salad for starters.

We took our grandsons to South Africa for their high school graduation gift. It was a wonderful “glamping” experience. We felt like we were in the bush with nice, comfortable accommodations, and we were very cozy in our tent. The entire staff couldn’t have been nicer.
