Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge

3 nights was not enough from arrival to the time we left the stay was exceptional. The guides were knowledgeable and made every game drive leaving us wanting more it was never a problem if we were late back from drives. We saw very few other game viewers so every sighting was amazing The camp staff were always around to help in any way they could we will definitely be returning next time for longer Thank you to everyone at Ivory Wilderness

Our stay at Ivory Wilderness was an experience we will forever treasure. From the moment we arrived we were treated to exceptional service by all the staff who went out of their way to ensure our trip surpassed our expectations. The accommodation was luxurious and very well maintained; the food provided by the resident chef was varied, delicious and beautifully presented; and the guide who took us into the bush was experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining. We couldn't have asked for more. So thank you to everyone at Ivory Wilderness Lodge-we had an amazing, unforgettable time with you all. We will return.

Over the years we have been to various safari lodges including some very high end but this was the best experience we have ever had. The lodge and the rondavels are simple but extremely comfortable, we slept so well, the bed and the linen were excellent. Andrew and Sephiwe looked after us so well with regular offers of drinks on the decking and great service at meal times. The food was excellent, the pork chop in an agrodolce sauce, the ostrich in a hollandaise sauce and the light and fluffy buttermilk pancakes were highlights. Then of course there were the game drives - superb, yes we saw wild dogs, leopards, lions, elephants, buffalo but so much more than this. Warren and Corie’s enthusiasm for and knowledge of the flora and fauna made this a truly memorable experience, thank you guys so much.

I can only warmly recommend this lodge! The staff were absolutely fantastic - really, really nice and accommodating. Everyone made the stay very special. It was as if you were staying with friends and everyone personally made sure that you felt completely at ease. The location of the lodge is simply amazing! It is in a beautiful, peaceful setting, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. Away from the hustle and bustle, but still perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding wildlife and landscape. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do - with their knowledge and experience they made every safari an unforgettable experience. It was fascinating to listen to their explanations and see the animals up close. The safaris were the absolute highlight! Great excursions with fantastic wildlife sightings. Every moment was exciting and the guides made sure that no question went unanswered. All in all, an absolute insider tip! This lodge not only offers excellent accommodation, but also unforgettable experiences that you won't soon find again.
