Aqua Nicaragua

We booked online and when we arrived at the hotel- IT WAS CLOSED! Do not book here. They are a bunch of old wooden villas in a jungle all individually owned. There is NO hotel there. Do not get ripped off. We are still trying to get our money back. Beware of the scam.

It is the perfect place to relax, escape the noise of the city, the place is something incredible, harmonious and very quiet to just be watching the landscape, I totally recommend it. Contact with nature is simply spectacular

Cannot ask for more. 100% worth the trek. We always have a fabulous time here! Beautiful tree houses with spa, comfortable beds, clean, amazing views, private beach, and delicious food. Every time we stay we are able to experience different animals - a special treat! This time we saw baby turtles, howler monkeys, and beautiful birds. Will be coming back again.

It's not often you can have the opportunity to stay in a tree house and this resort provides an amazing experience with your stay. The room views are beautiful and relaxing, the private beach provides memorable sunsets, and the beach restaurant provides yummy drinks and food.

The location can't be beat. The private beach and surrounding area is so beautiful and tranquil. Our unit was very private (which we lucked out on - not all units are as secluded as ours) and the view was breathtaking. One pathway down to beach was under construction and felt a bit unsafe to walk on, especially at night. Probably should have just closed it and made everyone use other path. Website says free complementary yoga classes but those were not available when we were there (early Nov) only had private classes for $65. The yoga platform was also under construction but luckily they still made it available for me to use twice a day. It was the most beautiful location I have ever practiced at so I was really appreciative they allowed me to still use it! Free yoga mat rental so that was nice as well. Also surprised more staff did not speak English. Overall I think they have some room for improvement especially if advertising as a luxury accommodation. Highlight was seeing baby sea turtles hatch and go out to sea!! it was magical! Regardless of some of my critiques we would stay again.

We came here for 6 days on part of our honeymoon. We had a beautifully located treehouse that looked out onto Redonda Bay. A great retreat from the busy world. The spa treatments were great also and the staff were accommodating for any of our needs or tours we wanted arranged. Defo take them up on the hike to Gigante Pie which is an included excursion (only for the nimble footed). The view was great when you get to the top! If you don't have a car for the trip. Would recommend stopping at a shop before you arrive to get any supplies you want (snacks, drinks etc) to have in your treehouse, as the nearest shop is in El Gigante which is a leisurely 30 min walk. The restaurant/bar is down by the beach but sometimes you just want a beer and a sarnie sat up in your treehouse without having to order and wait for it to come to you(unless you want to be waited on hand and foot!). There are currently some renovations and expansion being done, so just be aware of this, as you may hear the odd drilling on some days, but we were visiting off peak and it's got to be done at sometime! Also be aware these treehouses are built into the cove, so lots of steps to access them all. Definitely helped our cardio!
