Excellent service, Great location, Fabulous price, Good Food, Simple, Safe & Clean Rooms. New Owners working very Hard to Please!! Tony, Vanessa, and staff of 3 (including one nighttime Guard) have been at Mira Flores for 3 months and doing all that they can to make sure their guests are Happy! Tony speaks very good English. There is a pink bicycle in the reception area that I was willing to rent- they let me use it free of charge. It made a huge difference in my getting around and getting familiar with this lovely region of the Island (Santa Domingo is on the “bridge” on the two volcanos). Rooms have double locks and slotted windows which allow for air flow and safety. Beds are clean and comfortable, and there is a fan above each bed. Lots of furniture…. Table fans stool for bags, desk,chair and lamp beside the bed for convenience . Bathrooms are huge and private,with an extra set of toilets in the reception area. They did not enter my room for 4 days and when I found a broom to sweep out the sand- Tony quickly offered to do the sweeping. Wind and water were extremely high which made for a lovely sound when sleeping. It also made for a bit of a challenge when eating. Luckily the reception area is also available for meals. Overall, Tony & Vanessa are very very generous!! Weakness- next to a cafe that plays loud music at times (had a huge tourist event from 1pm until 3am one night). Also- I am Canadian and. Used to No Smoking rooms and Hotels. This is still being figured out.
