Somewhat dated decor but big rooms, rather cold for the first couple of hours before the heating came on. Importantly the beds were very comfortable, so a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection including all the components of a full English. Host and hostess were courteous.

This B&B was a really nice house, about 10 min walk from the train station. They let me drop my bag before check in, and held it until I returned. Same on departure – I was able to check out of my room but leave the bag until afternoon. This gave me the freedom to walk about Elgin both days without the weight. Comfortable room, nice cooked to order breakfast options, pleasant, helpful hosts. I did have trouble with the shower, which continually cycled from too hot to too cold and back again.
