What a wonderful stay we had here this week, we can't rate it highly enough. The staff, from the reception to room servicing, gardens, bar, spa, to the lovely waiters were all lovely and incredibly helpful and friendly. The whole property was immaculate; rooms, bathrooms and public spaces are spotless and very attractively designed. Our forest view suite was spacious, airy and light, with a very comfortable lounge area with tv/radio (if you wanted it),squashy sofas and sliding doors to the terrace and plunge pool. The bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was great. The bathroom had a fabulous rain shower and a very plentiful supply of gorgeous smelling toiletries. The infinity pool is beautiful, with plenty of sun beds, umbrellas and cabanas. The restaurant area overlooking the pool is lovely, with comfortable tables and chairs for enjoying a pre dinner drink from the extensive cocktail menu. Sadly the fine-dining restaurant wasn't open when we were there, but the food was lovely, if a little lacking in imagination. The area is just lovely, with beautiful views both towards the mountains and the sea. A short walk down to Trapezaki Beach and you will find a lovely local taverna that offers the perfect spot for sunset, lovely wines and the best tarama we have ever had. There are a few things they need to sort out before reopening next year, but we felt that these are too minor to mention and are all being addressed anyway. Would highly recommend in every way.

We had a lovely restful holiday at Celestial. The forest suite was immaculate and very comfortable. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were there on a half-board basis and enjoyed our meals on the whole but would suggest varying the starters which were always a salad and desserts to include Greek specialities like orange pie or baklava. We would like to return in the future.

So, like a number of people we got an excellent deal with Secret Escapes for 5 nights at Celestial Suites. As per nearly all the previous reviews the place is fabulous, with the centrepiece being the frequently photographed main pool being even more impressive in real life. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and available at all times, no complaints. Food was great, both breakfast and dinner were enough in all areas. I know there are some complaints regards breakfast choices etc however my partner and I had no issues with there being enough choices all round. The hotel is clean, very well maintained and everyone obviously working hard to become a smooth run unit after its first season. Again I have to recommend the awesome Denis Restaurant, the food is just lovely for such an out-of-the-way place, highly recommended for a visit at any time. Loved the chilled, very un-touristy beach which is an easy walk from the hotel. The only negatives with our stay are that the small ‘6’ block overlooks the main entrance and bar/restaurant areas so is not as private as the other sections clearly are, can be a bit noisy at peak traffic/drinking times. Also the wet room has a small design flaw in that the shower water runs across the toilet and does not drain so leaving a large puddle in front of the toilet afterwards, which is a bit irritating. Still going to give the place 5 stars however as that was all I could find fault with. PS if you stay in room 602 look out for the preying mantis and lizards in the lavender by the plunge pool, absorbing to watch, along with the wonderful mountain view backdrop. Also ask if they can provide another terrific thunder and lightning storm we enjoyed on the second evening!!!

What a fabulous hotel. Quiet and relaxing, lovely breakfasts. Go for the local yoghurt and honey, oh my word!! It was late in the season so the pool was a bit chilly. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Menu for the evening we felt was very limited. The room was spectacular, Mountain View with plunge pool and all mod cons. We are hoping to visit again next year. All in all a wonderful stay

This hotel is right up there with the best I have ever had the pleasure of staying. From the well thought out and designed suites to the tirelessly helpful and lovely staff that facilitate the smooth running of the hotel, and every little detail in between, this beautiful hotel is the very definition of tranquility, serenity and relaxation. The suites, all equipped with a spacious terrace and plunge pool, are stunningly good. They are furnished well, with a very comfortable bed, great seating area, smart TV (we were able to watch the Rugby World cup quarter finals on IPTV), mini fridge and a coffee machine. We asked at reception on the first afternoon if a kettle could be provided for the suite and before we got back to the room after a drink at the bar, it had already been delivered complete with cups etc. Probably the best shower I've experienced at a hotel too. The main pool is simply stunning. I agree that this is now the benchmark that all other hotel pools will be judged against, with loungers that are by far the comfiest I have ever laid upon, so much so that we were searching the web for where we can buy some. We had booked half board and having read some of the negative reviews, I was expecting the evening menus to repeat themselves at the very least after 7 days, but in the 10 nights we stayed, we ate every night at the hotel and although some elements cropped up on the menu a couple of times, reasonably so might I add, we never saw an identical menu over the 10 evenings and only one dish out of a total of 60 between us, was a little underwhelming and lacking in flavour. There is the choice of 2 starters, 4 mains and 2 deserts every night. and the portion sizes are generous to say the least. You will not go to bed hungry unless you are a bit of a fussy eater. The waiting staff are great, with special mention to Christo who looked after us every evening, even "reserving" our usual table on the last evening for us. For 10 evenings straight he never had a day off, neither did the other waiter who also attends to the breakfast sittings. Speaking of breakfast, there is more than enough choice to be had from the selection of breads, fruit, nuts, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese to eggs bacon beans etc. and the choice of ordering eggs to your liking from the kitchen. I personally, also found the coffee perfectly fine and had it every morning. One afternoon, we spent lazily cooling off in our private pool, trying to think how this hotel could improve, after a considerable amount of time, our only suggestion was having the bar snack menus on the tables next to the sun loungers, or perhaps having a QR code that could link to the menu or an ordering system maybe instead of having the bar staff walking round to ask if you needed anything, but that's pretty much all we could think of, other than please don't price us out of making a return visit. Finally, a mention of the cleaning staff. They keep this place absolutely immaculate, and should be com

Beautiful relaxing hotel, room was perfect. The staff were lovely especially Diane on Reception. The food was good and it was nice that there were choices for main courses every night for the whole week. We used the gym and had a treatment in the spa, the beautician was excellent. Overall I would come back and I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

We were in one of the honeymoon suites and enjoyed privacy and incredible views. The suite itself is really well designed- loved the pluge pool! The little beach 10 minutes walk away was fantastic, too.

Stunning location & beautiful hotel & luxury suites. Classy high end furnishings throughout. Towels divine (large thick & fluffy) & for the first time ever in a hotel actually smelt freshly laundered (as they would at home) Normally the scent is lost but not here! Quality olive oil toiletries supplied daily. Continental breakfast- Fresh coffee, selection of teas, fruit juices, fresh fruit, dried fruits, nuts, yogurt, honey, cereals, breads, pastries, cheeses, salami, hams, eggs (to your liking) prepared daily Bar snacks (choice limited) room for improvement but what we did order was delicious. Dinner- initially the food was superb however towards the end of our stay the quality did take a nose dive. We did not complain, we just thought that the chef may have changed as it was coming to close of season? Menu choice was also restricted…. ? Supply issues. Deserts (apart from one) were poor. Wine expensive. A bottle cost approx 30e Non alcoholic cocktail list unfortunately was limited again? Supply issues as only one from the listed options available. Regardless of these minor issues we have booked to return again next year already! All staff with special mention to Diane were most accommodating. Thank you to all for making our stay memorable for the right reasons!

This hotel is amazing. The pool is the longest we have ever seen. The suites are amazing. Slightly rushed between courses but when we mentioned it they slowed down. Food is nice. The beach is walking distance and there is a lovely restaurant on the beach. Kefalonia is my favorite place and will definitely return to Celestial Suites
