Baymont by Wyndham Elizabeth City

During our stay in Elizabeth City for a family event, we chose this particular establishment. Our room, number 109, was situated on the first floor, and we observed that the shower curtain had a noticeable tear. Furthermore, on the final night of our stay, we unfortunately spotted a large waterbug crawling on the wall.

They were excellent in checking us in and providing for our needs during our stay. The hotel showed it's age, yet everything was functional and we slept well and enjoyed our stay with coffee, tea, and breakfast.

The staff had a nasty attitude they charge your card without telling you the room had roaches

Awful. The area is sad. The hotel was dirty! I had to get a new room. The condition was dreadful.

I spent one night here, as I was in town for a funeral. I'll be honest, this hotel is very tired. The photos online are very flattering and not especially reprsentative of what it actually looks like or the kind of sketchy area in which it is located. The people at the front desk were very friendly, however it took a long time to get us checked in for some reason. I had 2 rooms, one regular king for myself, and one accessible king for my parents. My room was fine. It was decently clean. The sheets were clean and bed was comfortable. The pillows were very small, but being alone at least I had all 4 to myself. Some of the towels looked dingy and yellow. My parents' room was musty smelling and the mattress had a dip in the middle, though they said they slept fine. My room smelled strongly of vanilla, which I assume was from some kind of air freshener. The air conditioner was extremely loud. We were on the first floor, and the closest ice maker was on the 2nd floor (there was one on the first floor, but was not working). The elevator was kind of rickety and dark. The breakfast was very underwhelming- some kind of very strange chopped up eggs (?) and some overcooked sausage links, a waffle maker, white bread and a few bagels, cereal, mini muffins, and 3 bananas. The coffee was decent. It was fine for a night, but I will not return to this location.

The service was quick and amazing. The people that worked there were very friendly. The deck had a smell like a smoking smell inside the building and the elevator always had a scent to it . I never had the chance to taste their breakfast.

I have stayed at this location just recently, as well as on several other occasions. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! One of the amenities is having Wi-Fi; however, none of the devices were connecting to the Internet. It was also noted that other individuals, including myself, had to utilize their hotspot on their phone. The rooms were cleanly and staff was quick to get me fresh towels when needed. The rooms could use some upgrades such as new shower curtain rods has mine was broken and the curtain would favor one side, so the water would go on the floor. A new desk phone would be nice, too, as that was broken as well. One of the other amenities is a breakfast in the morning, which I did not partake in. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again! 

I actually really liked it, the bed was comfortable & clean, the bathroom was nice, the staff was friendly and the price was amazing for 3 nights.

Hallways smell like ****. The room was okay.
