Good location; next to the bus stop and 25 min walk uphill to the cable car station. You can take the first cable car to watch sunrise at the Golden Summit. They do not have non-smoking room and the roomy was smelly. It is also a restaurant and has food smell. The amenities are basic. For foreigners, it was not easy to use the squat toilet and the wet shower over the toilet. The servers were helpful for watching sunrise tips. The cleanliness of the room is average.

GGuest Userthe stay was so so good! firstly, before our arrival date, the hotel contacted us on both trip.com & wechat, so our transport to the hotel from emeishan station was smooth.
check-in was fuss free as well, and the front office lady xiaoshi was kind, warm, and gave us tips for our trip up emei.
we could borrow the hanfu and took pictures in the yard and around the hotel.
the facilities were clean, nice, and overall really cosy. breakfast was really good too. and if you prefer to go up the mountain earlier, the hotel will also prepare some light takeaways for you, and thats super thoughtful
i’ve read reviews that the location was not as good as those around baoguo; but since we were travelling as a family, this place was peaceful, slightly quieter and very near huangwan visitor centre! To me this was equally as good as hotels that are around baoguo. the trip up emei mountain was quick and fuss free as well, since I got the tickets and boarded the bus from huangwan (about a 5-7 mins walk away from the hotel) which is not much different from baoguo. will definitely stay here again if im visiting this area :))

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Hongzhushan Zen Retreat on Mount Emei this summer. The hotel boasts a very convenient location with hassle-free parking for those driving. The serene environment immediately puts you at ease; we even spotted squirrels scurrying through the woods during our walks! Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy, and well-equipped with all the necessary facilities. Both the front desk staff and guest relations manager were incredibly warm, thoughtful, and always greeted us with a welcoming smile. Breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, catering to all tastes. Enjoying the private hot spring bath in our room while admiring the lush forest view outside was incredibly relaxing for both body and mind. The hotel also offers various additional activities to enhance your stay. Overall, every aspect of our experience was excellent, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

The **room was clean and simple**, with a comfortable bed, fresh linens, and reliable air conditioning. Basic amenities like a TV, free Wi-Fi, and daily housekeeping were all provided. The **bathroom was small but functional**, with hot water available 24/7.
Staff were **polite and efficient** during check-in/out. While there's no restaurant on-site, they offered good recommendations for nearby eateries. The **lobby has free coffee/tea** available all day.

BBernicetjmXiao Zhou and his colleagues provided us with exceptional service during our one-night stay at the hotel! They were very nice and friendly, attentive to our needs and requests, and chatted with us in an open and welcoming manner whenever we inquired about aspects of the local environment, Mt Emei, etc. We had dinner at the hotel during our stay and ordered the chef's recommendations. The food was AMAZING and so fresh. The fish and chicken dishes that we had came from live fish and chicken that they reared within the hotel compound. If they were a local restaurant back in my country, I would frequent them without a doubt, and would love to bring my friends to try their cuisine. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, Xiao Zhou even brought us to take a look at the hotel's chicken coop and fish pond. When we had to leave for our hike to Mt Emei's summit, Xiao Zhou and his colleague kindly drove us to the nearest bus station so that it would be easier for us to access Mt Emei's public transportation, a gesture which we appreciated a lot! All in all, their attentiveness to us, good manners, and warm and friendly dispositions all contributed to a memorable stay. Of course, the rooms themselves were spotless and comfortable. Would love to come back here in the future!!

We booked a twin room for our family of three, and although it initially only included two breakfasts, the front desk kindly provided an extra one for us. The breakfast was delicious, and the soy milk was amazing – not too sweet! The only minor issues were that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, and the duvet was too thick and stuffy. It was too hot when covered but too cold without it, making it more suitable for winter. A lighter duvet would definitely be better for summer.

LLanJiangWe initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff.
When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough.
If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting.
A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance.
If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay.
A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

Despite our late arrival at 10:30 PM, the staff still greeted us warmly. Upon learning that our child enjoys yogurt, they thoughtfully prepared yogurt, fresh welcome fruits, and snacks for us. The breakfast was also quite good, featuring freshly cooked bacon. The beef and pork rib noodles were delicious, and the complimentary fruit tea was very tasty. My only minor suggestion would be if they could offer freshly ground coffee!
