My wife and I have been on a road trip for the past 19 days, travelling from the Gold Coast to Port Douglas, then inland to Longreach, and are now heading home. This hotel was the worst served we have stayed in. Came home the second day, and our room was not serviced at all. The bed was not made, and the towels were still on the bathroom floor. Lack of care on the owner's part. I wish we had stayed somewhere else, but most were booked. Avoid if possible. PS, if you do stay there, use your own mobile data as the hotel's wi-fi is crap.

The room was filthy. Beds are old and hard. The bathroom smelt of sewage. A pot plant container was used as a rubbish bin. There wasn’t enough blankets for everyone and it’s the middle of winter. Floors left our feet black and the blind in the bedroom was a “make shift” blind that you couldn’t even open. Never again would we be staying here. The room was so run down.

Do not stay here - worst place I've ever stayed. Restuarant has been cl8sed for a long time - but they show photos if it on their website. Weird layout with hand basin in entry hallway and none in bathroom. Floor so filthy our feet let black marks on the Bathmat. Freezer had a can of softdrink and was so frozen over, the fridge didn't close properly and water was on entry tiles. Plastic chairs on rear patio were cracked and unsafe. Men's underwear was between aircn motor and wall. Rear patio dirty. We tried to contact someone but no one onsite, reception doesn't ever appear to open and calls go to a message bank outside business hours and to a booking centre dring business hours who didn't seem to care about guests or the issues experienced.

Very very disappointed was charged 2 days before our arrival as I was going to use a different card. It’s not normal policy to charge until arrival. Mattress needed to be replaced. No extra pillows provided. Would not recommend this motel to family or friends.

On arrival, we noted the well-manicured lawns and gardens with a clean swimming pool that looked inviting. We had a standard room that had comfortable beds however, the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom with taps that were difficult to turn off. The bathroom was cramped and the shower rose wouldn't stay up. The television was old style and wouldn't receive HD channels. Although we booked for three, there were only sufficient cups etc for two. A bit disappointing given the attractive exterior of the place. A free breakfast was appreciated with cereal, juice/tea/coffee on offer as well as toast and bacon and eggs. It was also good to have under cover parking.

Seasoned business traveller, wasn't told the restaurant was closed on site, no breakfast available and the money was taken from the company credit card before I arrived on site for the 3 nights.. guessing new owners or new management, never used to be like that when I'd stayed there before.. if it wasn't already paid for, would have gladly left, will never return

The attitude and rudeness of the reception lady was terrible . Carpet looks likes it’s never been cleaned - stains everywhere AC didn’t work and was filthy TV didn’t work Bed was also quite disgusting. I left early it was so bad and the receptionist still charged me. $220 per night is an absolute rip off. Don’t stay there - would have been better sleeping in my car.

Owner needs to rethink the way he deals with people and runs a business! His customer service was already severely lacking when I got there, incredibly rude, unapproachable and spoke in a contemptuous tone which then turned nasty and aggressive with him standing over me yelling and swearing at me to "GET THE F@€K OFF MY PROPERTY!" Arrogant prick has absolutely no idea how to even talk people! No wonder the place is virtually empty! There aren't many people that I wish negativity towards in this world, but this w@nker now tops the list! Other than that ****head, staff were very nice/friendly and accommodation was adequate.
