It's an unbelievable hotel. We are fortunate to have stayed in many five star hotels and this compares favourably to then all. What makes it so special? Two things. First, the view, just amazing. Second, the staff who are terrific, led by the owner who is very hands on and so helpful. In addition, although up to the standards of the many five star hotels we are fortunate to have stayed in, the price of both the room and very good food are considerably less. Kostas, the Manager, was a fount of knowledge and graciousness, the food, from the included breakfast to dinner, was of the highest standard. In fact, we ate dinner three of four nights, as the setting, service and food (and the house wine!) were all first rate. Worthy of a repeat visit.

The location is a dream...perfect views of the islands of the Saronic Gulf. The rooms are beautifully appointed and everywhere is spotless. The gardens are a delight. It is utter luxury but done with taste and refinement. Kostas is an amazing host...charming and so helpful. As for the food....give up all hopes of a diet! The breakfasts are a feast of fruits; breads; yoghurts; cold meats and cheeses; salad; home cooked savoury pastries; fresh orange juice from the trees in the garden; local honey; home made jams...and an egg dish that changes every day. Dinner provided me with the best (and biggest!) Pork chop I'd ever seen and a grilled vegetable salad with top notch balsamic. I've never slept better. This is truly paradise found.

Second or third time we spend a few days at Yialasi, warm welcome by the very friendly owner and the staff delivering a wonderful service: gorgeous breakfast and this time we also enjoyed dinner (thank you Maria!). Very comfortable beds (I arrived with a sore back and within 48h it was resolved). This place is our secret hideaway 2h from Athens, with a stunning view. During this trip we drove around the Methana peninsula, enjoyed a bath in the hot springs by the sea (look for Pausaneas bath) and had dinner at the lovely harbor of Vathi with the sunset. Thank you!!

Stayed for three nights. Previously stayed many years ago for one night and had great memories of that stay and high expectations. This time it was even more impressive. The hotel is very efficiently run and everything has a quality feel. The gardens are lovely, the infinity pool was amazing and the room was great. Lots of character touches everywhere and so much attention to detail. The breakfast was very good and far too much to eat. We had dinner on two nights and this was also excellent and with similar prices to local tavernas. The staff were really attentive and professional. It is a small place with just 14 rooms but feels far superior to many other places we have stayed which are much bigger and significantly more expensive. Overall great value for money and we will return. Only thing to bear in mind is the slope of the drive. You need a car and it is very steep. The owner recommended we turn the air con off in our small hire car and this made the ascent much easier. The views from the hotel terraces, lounges and bedrooms easily makes up for the hill.

We loved everything, the pretty hotel with the stunning view, the pool and the beautiful garden, the people who work there and the owner (so friendly!).. and everywhere the smell of oranges and aloe vera. The food was great…(an amazing breakfast, every day!)……really, I wish I could go back tomorrow… thank you Yialasi hotel.

My wife and I recently spent a happy week at Yialasi Hotel. Highlights: * the fantastic manager/owner, who when seeing that my wife had a mobility problem (on the mend) immediately juggled his reservations so that we could get a room accessible by the minimum of stairs. Later on he upgraded the W10 installation on my laptop (connecting it to his own installation by Ethernet cable) so that I could access the hotel's WiFi. * the breakfast was, in consequence of the pandemic, served at your table. The staff varied the serving from day to day impressively. * the place as such is really above praise as has been described by other reviewers. The distances and topography make a car indispensable, preferably with a confident driver (the manager saved me when I had got stuck!)

Excellent accommodation experience close to ancient Epidavros and walking distance to nearby beach. Great location which offers awesome view from all rooms (ie we have stayed in 3 rooms so far) , as well as from breakfast area and swimming pool. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast is also very good. Last but not least, hotel is managed in a very professional way by owner!
