Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo Resort - Adults Only

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times & hoping to return this year. We have always had an amazing time at the hotel. Staff are all amazing. Food is lovely,however I wish the hotel hadn’t changed from the buffet lunch instead lunch to a menu lunch. The bar by the beach does really lovely food to order. Shout out to the sun bed ️ man. After travelling abroad for over 25 years we can honestly say this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We usually stay in 4 star rated hotels but thought we would treat ourselves and upgrade to this 5 star rated hotel big mistake! After transfer from the airport we were taken to the hotel by taxi. We were blown away by the views going up the hill to the Grand Mediterraneo. The reception area was lovely and modern so we had high expectations that we were going to have a fantastic two weeks. However from the moment we arrived in our room everything went downhill. We walked into our allocated room to be met by a very strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. We took a look around the room and as well as everywhere being filthy the fixtures and fittings were nowhere near what you would expect from a 5 star rated hotel. The fridge and safe did not work and there were marks and stains on a lot of the furniture. The sewage smell alone deemed this room to be uninhabitable so we promptly phoned reception to complain. After being asked to go for lunch while a new room could be found we returned to reception to be taken to another room. This time we walked in there was no sewage smell but that was the only improvement. In this room we yet again found it to be filthy everywhere. The windows were that dirty you could hardly see through them, the kettle stunk and was not fit for use, the shower and sink were fitted very poorly, there were chips in the bathroom tiles, marks on the walls and furniture, the tv had scratches over it and the bed linen had holes in. As you can imagine we were not happy so we went in search of the Tui Rep with the photos we had taken. The Rep said he would speak to his manager and the hotel to find a solution. While waiting we tried to find alternative accommodation but as it was high season no alternative was available. The hotel could not provide another room so we were left with no choice but to accept the 2nd room as it was better than the 1st room only by the fact it did not smell of sewage. The management sent someone to attempt to fix the poorly fitted shower but it was still not to be of a good standard. Although we were assured that each day our room would be deep cleaned this did not happen. Our stay continued to go downhill. Other problems we encountered were very poor entertainment (apart from the 3 tenors who were excellent) so on all the other nights we went back to our room early to get away from the terrible acts. The sewage smell could also be smelt at several places around the hotel causing us not to be able to use the beach, al a carte restaurant or Vertigo bar. Around the hotel we found several maintenance and health and safety issues including broken outside lights, piles of rubble outside our room, ripped cushions, stained bar stools and on several occasions the communal toilets were dirty and smelt awful. Had an amazing stay so far. Spa is amazing. I went for a full body massage therapist, and it was absolutely fantastic (Danai). I highly recommend that if you get the chance to come here. Food and cocktails also amazing from someone who is a picky eater

We have been visiting this hotel since 2020 shortly after they opened after covid. We love the excellent food and service from the staff. The reception staff are all excellent, especially Magda, Katherina and Annie. Stamatis runs a tight ship, the room booking lady Chrissa always manages to sort out our room choice too. thank you all. Special thanks to other staff members, Katerina, Penelope, Enzo and Darlena in the bar. Nicos and his team in the restaurant. The only reason for not giving five stars is that we are still having the same issue that we have had for the last three years. Which is that the hotel advertises that the towels are changed daily and bed linen is changed every second day but we have had to ask for the bed changing after 5 days of our 11 night visit. When that was done on day 6 it was not done again at all. I would suggest that the policy should be changed to bed linen changed every 3 or 4 days so that might ensure that the maids complied with it. We also think that the hotel should have a policy of placing the towels on the floor of the bathroom when fresh ones required. We feel that would reduce hotel laundry costs and have a reduced impact on the planet. We will still return as we feel so welcomed by the staff.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location with great accommodation and very friendly staff. Very well laid out site. Food was of a high standard with good variety and plenty of choice. Had an excellent massage treatment by Asimina at the Aegeo Spa in the hotel.

This hotel is an absolute gem. From the minute we arrived we were treated extremely well by all the staff and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the grounds are immaculately maintained and the level of service is very impressive with lots of staff. The rooms are big and very well appointed. Ours had a lovely view of the bay. Guests are transported to the main hotel by golf buggy. The breakfast and evening meals were all delicious with a wide range of options at all times. We also enjoyed the range of activities organised by the super events team. There are so many things that make this hotel special but the one thing that stands out is the staff. Thank you to the whole team at the Grand Atlantica Mediterrano who made this holiday so good. We cannot wait to return.
