The stay in Blooms Cochin Kakkanad was an average experience.

I booked a twin bed room for my stay and was provided a king bed room despite of me calling earlier and raised the request for the same. Th front office staff were not coordinated and blamed me for miscommunication. After that the room provided for me was for a physically challenged person and all the required things in the room and bathroom were at my knee level. I am almost 6 feet tall and just imagine brushing my teeth at knee level. None of my concerns were acknowledged and it is sad to see a property with good potential failing to satisfy it's customer's basic requirements.

The rooms are good. But the reception staff ruins the pleasure staying there. They show one rate for room while booking, and gives invoice differently with lower room rates and mix it up with complimentary meals. Dont expect any proper support if you book online. Not to the mark of even a 3 star hotel with respect to the service given. They treat you like they are offering something for free.

We have stayed here twice. The first time we stayed here, the room stinked, the cots weren't cleaned properly that the next day I had felt all itchy. No proper toiletries were provided. We had booked for breakfast, so we had breakfast from there. Asked for a glass of water and it came after 15mins. I became late for work because of this. But we decided to give it another try this time. And this time, we didn't book for breakfast cause the food tasted really bad and they offer poor service as well. The receptionist had zero or rather negative hospitality. During check-in she said no outside food allowed. We got in the room. Room seemed fine this time. There were toiletries but were not enough. Next day we were late and since we didn't like the food there, we thought we'd order food from outside. We went to collect food and the receptionist called us and told that outside food is not allowed. As if we were committing a crime. We have stayed in a lot of places in different countries and have never experienced this. On the first place, they cannot tell us what we have to eat. Secondly, when asked them why, they said it is difficult for them to dispose waste. They have a restaurant, they have a kitchen and more importantly, they have in-room dining, my question is, how do they dispose that waste? This is just a very poor tactic to force people to eat from their restaurant. I can be sure that I would never stay here again. If you are not allergic to bad cots and do not mind bad service and bad food, you'll be fine. Only good thing is suite room is spacious.
